I found a pair of shoes that are absolutely gorgeous and are a bargain. The problem is, we have not even set a date officially, let alone dress shopping etc. What would you guys do? I do tend to change my mind, but I have seen these shoes over the past few years and have always loved them.

Could the shoes be worn at other special events ? As you could get them for wedding but if things change they are there for a back up for other events so a bargain no matter what :)

Agree with lala! But then as well I bought my shoes just after we got engaged as they were a stupid price and retailing much more in the stores too so snapped them up and still love them now x

I bought both my pairs of shoes quite soon after getting engaged, and 3 years before the wedding, and I still absolutely love them. I also bought my dress over 2.5 years out and am really pleased I did. I guess it depends on you: my tastes haven't really changed in the past 10 years so I was confident I'd be fine buying that far out, if my tastes changed with the seasons I'd probably have been much more hesitant and would likely have waited.

I think I'm gonna buy them. They were £140 and now down to £39 in their sale so it would be rude not to ;-) I like your thinking so as soon as I saw what you said, I checked to see if they're dyeable and they are!!
On the plus side as well, its one less thing to worry about when we get closer to the time!! Just have to hide them from h2b in the mean time (I'll tell him I bought them but I don't want him to see them!)

I bought mine just after we had got engaged and bought them with a bonus we got at work... I wouldn't normally buy any shoes that are expensive but decided on buying them because I could. they have stayed in their box and will be worn on the day - there is a picture of them in my album. nothing else at the time had been decided about the wedding but at least I had my shoes when we started to plan it.

If you really love them then get them! I bought my shoes before anything else after I'd got the church and reception venue booked. Everyone said I should have got my dress first but I saw the shoes loved them and they were so comfortable.
