I am getting married in Aug 2011 in Gretna and I am planning to get my flowers from a shop nearby so that I dont have to travel down with them.
Ive emailed a few different florists that I have found from a web search but havent had a response.
How are you getting on with your flower arranging? Who are you using? Am I leaving it too late?

Can you maybe go for silk and travel with them?? Will be one thing you wont have to worry about when you get there?

I did think about that but I love fresh flowers. Space is going to be abit of a struggle for us too because we have so much to take in only 1 or possibly 2 cars.

my friend is getting married there and i think not 100% sure but they do a package with your flowers included so maybe they could recommend a good florist close by.x
Awww! Gretna is lovely! My brother got married there a few years ago and I was bridesmaid! Not sure where she got her flowers from though and I can't get hold of her at the mo to find out! I'l keep trying! However it might be good to ring them and see if they can reccomend anywhere! xxx

This is the reply I got back: hiya we booked ours through gretna wedding bureau and they arranged everything all i had to do was choose colours of flowers but they were beautiful will check all my receipts etc and find the name and email u. they were delivered in plenty of time and were very helpful when i was on phone to them would recommend them we see what i can find x

We're getting married in Gretna in August next year as well. I really want silk flowers and have been contemplating using ebay - there's some gorgeous ones on there. Tbh though we've only got to carry up two bouquets (mine and bm) and buttonholes so should be ok to travel.

Thanks ladies, ive also booked via the wedding bureau but chose not to include flowers because the booking form only mentioned a bouquet for me. I'll email them to see if they can help me.

From the sounds of it they did all my friends flowers. She had button holes and flowers for the bridesmaids etc. I should imagine its a local florist that does them and you can contact them directly with your requirements. You could always pay for extras direct to them.

hi iv booked through gretna .i get my flowers and my h2b in with the cost . I shopped round but decided to go with the Flower Basket that gretna wedding use so that all the flowers match and sent a sample for the bow. I have order some centre pieces throught a friend which will be in oasis so good to travel for £60 for 2 and with candle glass.
