Went into a new cake shop by us today with mum in law 2b and got quoted £140 (but its just gonna be 3 tiers, middle being fake) im gettng it in honour of h2b because he LOVES superman and DC comics. On the day he and his groomsmen r gonna have a particular dc character tee under their shirt, gonna have matching character belt buckles and buttonholes.
I think the price is good??????
but do u think it will fit with the whole day because really these are the only DC references were having......obvs h2b needs an influence!

i think its a fab idea huni! the only influence my OH has had is the action figures on the tables and the table names everything else is what i wanted. he has also picked the cufflinks for all his groomsmen as well but i bought them!

There a fab idea!! It's nice to have the odd reference rather than whole theme, makes your day more you!! We love Disney so rather than having Disney theme well be doing the odd reference. You could always get the superman 's' customised onto the underneath of your shoe too? It's you and your hubby's day so defo make it all about you two :) love it!! And cake is awesome & very very good price!!! Xx

Haha that's awesome! Have you got your shoes yet? You can get them customised online, I got my shoes from elegant st eps & will be havin heel and front diamanted.but then having a Mickey mouse outline on sole of one & Minnie on the other - only small but still significant :) & won't be telling OH!

I love it!!! Our cake had very little to do with the rest of the theme of the wedding, just that the bottom two tiers where in my colours (pink and brown). The rest was a statement of our individuality (pics in album), and all the guests remarked on it.
I think it would be an awesome idea to have this cake, as the closest people to you would get the joke, and the rest of the guests would just be amazed at how cool the cake is. Just stick some ribbon in your colour theme on there, itll be fine!! xx

I think that it is a great idea! My friend got married last year and had a lovely traditional wedding but her cake was a 3 tiered cake with the bottom layer decorated with American Dad characters, then Family guy on the next one, then the Simpsons - with South Park figures on the top instead of a bride and groom. It was fantastic and SO her! Was nice to have the "normal" (u know what i mean!) ceremony and the little touch of her in there too.

Littlemisschuckles - I tried looking earlier but only found iron on ones but if you haven't got your shoes maybe try one the shoe sites or even see if can send them in to another 1 to have customised...? X
