To be honest hun, I wouldnt even discuss with your family what food your having. At the end of the day, it your wedding. You choose what you want. You cant cater to everyones taste. If they dont like it, tough. My friends had burger and chips as their wedding breakfast coz thats what they wanted. Not everyone ate it but no one moaned.

We're having melon, tomato soup, steak pie then apple pie (the venue wants to fancy it up a bit though but it'll still be the same shizzle, lol) and because Neil's mum is a fussy eater they are making her sausage, egg, chips and beans :) They have been fab. I'd go for something plain like a chicken dish. Can you offer alternatives/choices on your menu? xxx

we're letting people choose, sending out a menu card (which we've hand made/designed) with invites for them to let us know when they RSVP. decided to do this because we know quite a few which are vegitarians, plus it gives people the option of what they'd like! we're having the following for people to choose from:
    starter
    prawn cocktail
    or
    chefs seasonal soup

    main
    mushroom and walnut linguinie
    or
supreme of chicken in a tomato and basil sauce with veg

    desert
    raspberry and champagne trifle
    or
    chocolate pot with shortbread

sounds all yum to be! lol, hopefully our guests will all enjoy!

from the sample menus they have at the mo, i am having

    Starter
Ragout of seafood spiked with pink caviar and fresh herbs
Scotch broth with a warm bread roll

    Main
Prime roast fillet of finest Scottish venison, pomme fondant, asparagus,
sweet potato ribbons and a wild mushroom gratin
Breast of chicken wrapped around Stornoway Haggis, in a cream whisky sauce

    Dessert
Caramelised lemon tart with Armagnac sauce
Blueberry, raspberry and guava crème brûlée accompanied by a
    spiced vanilla biscuit
Banana and mascarpone cheesecake lashed with hot toffee sauce
A selection of Celtic cheeses from the cheese menu
Freshly filtered coffee and petits fours

and then either a hog roast at night time or stovies oatcakes and macaroni cheese!

mouth is watering!!! gotta sit down with the chef 2 months before and finalise the menu.
