ordered my flowers yesterday and i am so excited. i'm having large teardrop rose bouquet in burgundy and ivory with crystals etc, a matching bridesmaids posy and 10 ivory button holes. i ordered them from the bay of e and inc. delivery cost £55 which i thought was a great deal. i cant wait to see them now, but am a little nervous in case they arrive and i dont like them or they are the wrong colour so i'll have everything crossed for the next couple of weeks. what kind of flowers has everyone else decided on?

mine are silk, me and my little boy suffer from really bad hayfever and i would like to keep them too, i'll be adding pictures of mine to my profile page soon :) i ordered a seperate flower girl wand for my daughter as this seller only did posy's for the flower girl. but that was only £7.50 + postage. hers is an ivory rose on a silver wand with silver glittery butterfly and ivory ribbon. looks gorgeous :)

im havign flowers which not only look nice and go with my theme, but which add an elemental or metaphysical angle to my day. For example, im having Broom, Damiana, Galangal, Honeysuckle, Meadowseweet, Orris Root, Patchouli, and Vervain [amoungst others] tied in garlands or poseys all around the inside structural ropes/pole of my tipi or tent [havent decided which yet]. All of these odd sounding herbs have a corrdenance with love, lust, courage, trust, or healing, all things i'd like to be constant in my future marriage. I aim to include these herbs along with all my green foliage and white blooms in beautiful garlands that smell and look amazing [theme; green & white] becasue to me the symbolism of the herbs is very important :]

Griff; Remember that for most herbs you will be able to create an infusion, or decantiaion which you'll be able to take with you to your cermony in vials; sprinkle the infusion around liberally before anybody else shows up. You, the elements and the G&GD know you've done it; you still get the meaning but no ill-concequence. <3 x

im toying with the idea of buying silk flowers and making the bouquets (mine and bridesmaids) and the buttonholes myself, ive priced it up and will probably save £30+ just depends whether i have the courage to do it myself
