What are people doing about dressing the arrival area of the venue? At my venue they do have flowers dotted about anyway but when we looked around (there was a wedding there that day). They had put an arrangement around the end of the stair case, must have been tied on I guess....does any one know what this is called? Was going to ask the florist to do one but feel a bit silly not knowing what it actually is!

I think they're called staircase garlands, but the florist will know what you mean.

I'm having an organza sash tied to the bottom of my staircase and the florist described as this on the quote:
Staircase large extravagant cream organza double bows with single open lily tucked inside the bow.
Good thing is this is only going to cost me £18 per bow (I will need 2). I got a quote for a pedestal similar to the one in hails picture and was quoted £98.50 each! the florist actually advised against the pedestal and recommended the organza sash as the staircase will only be looked at for 2 mins as I walk down it to the aisle x

I'm wrapping ribbon around the banister, like whats used for car ribbons i've got it on a huge roll so i'm gunna run some of that round it, not going too over board as not many people will be spending too much time around there

We're having foliage and a few flowers on our stairs like these above. Hope it'll detract from the carpet, which is in-keeping with the building but not really to my taste lol!
