Does anyone know what flower girls usually scatter down the aisle? My daughter wants to do it but I'm not sure whether you are meant to use silk or real petals

Ask the venues opinion on what will be the most suitable.

My friend used real ones and got a £60 clean up bill afterwards! The venue told her it was okay for her to use them but didnt warn her about the bill.

i'd use silk ones as they are just as nice and you can save them if needed and they are alot easier to clean up xx

Thanks everyone. I didn't even think about having to ask the venue, they are pretty strict so I can imagine them hitting us with a clean up bill (like they don't earn enough from weddings 360 days a year!) Think I'll give them a call on monday to make sure xx
