    Hiya

I was just wondering for those of you that are getting someone to do your hair and make up, are you getting them to do flower girls aswell? I have 3 bridesmaids so there will be 4 of us that need our hair and make up doing, and the wedding is at 2pm. The lady I'm thinking of using does both hair and make up so I thought doing 4 adults by 2pm would be quite a big job! MIL2B looked shocked and appalled when I said I wouldn't be getting the flower girls professionally done too. Not being funny, but they'll be 4 and 6 when we get married and they can be quite boisterous so I dont see the point in us forking out for some posh hairstyle when it could be wrecked within an hour! They have lovely hair anyway so I was thinking of getting them to wear it down with a nice headband or something.

Is that really so bad? lol

No not at all just get them a nice pretty hair band on ebay there is loads for £2 if you look at the china tiaras. And if there is just no time then there is nothing else you can do!!!!

MIL2B never really understand as mine proves often lol

Well it's not just the time, it's the money aswell. Certain people seem to think we can afford to pay for all sorts when we can't.... but that's a whole other story! lol

I've seen some really pretty hair bands in a certain accessory shop for £3 so I think that's the way to go!

I am just having mine have their hair down with a hair band in, they are too young to have their hair done properly, it will probably be falling out before you even get to the venue! And at 4 and 6 they dont need make up either xxx

I'm getting hair and make up done for me, my sister (moh) and my mum, but I definitely won't be having my bridesmaids hair done as they will be 2 and 4! They have curly hair so they're just going to have their hair down and I'll buy them hairbands. Ive seen ones with little roses on that I like.
It does seem a waste to get their hair done professionally as they'll probably mess it up as the day goes on. I dont think it's bad at all not to get theirs done xxx

i will be paying for all my bridesmaids hair done 3 of them are my children anyway but my younger will be 8 and 7 and all though they look really pretty with there hair down. it soon gets knotty as its really long so they are going to have it up in buns. they have there hair up everyday for school and although its not very tidy when they get home its still in place i don't use hairspray or anything for everyday hair. when we go to family party's i do use hairspray and it stays in a place all day. my sister got married last year and her hairdressers put up her daughters hair and i have to say it stayed in all day and night and it looked just as good.

i can understand not wanting to pay though and it is working ouexpensiveve its £25 for flower girls and 45 fobridesmaidsds with mhairdresserss and if they weren't my children i would get mnieceses to do there hairs instead.little girls hair looks lovely down with a little headband in sdon'tnt feel bad at not paying for their hairs at the end of the day budgets only go so far x

My bridesmaid is the hair dresser so will be doing my flowergirls hair too but only putting some lose curls in it and a flower. However if my BM wasnt doing it then i wouldnt pay as they are young and just curl it myself xx

nope not bad at all, im not getting my flower girl pro hair styled for that very same reason, and she just pulls out clips and bands anyway....so she will just have it down hopefully with a small rose clip...if she pulls it out, its really no biggie xx

Entirely up to you to be honest!
My niece will be 7 when I get married and I will be having her hair and make up done purly to make her feel included and like a princess like the rest of us!
Its only costing me £15 for both so why if it makes her feel special

I think it's up to individuals. I'm having my two daughters hair done in a high bun by a hairdresser...purely because if they have it out it'll be a sweaty mess within an hour or two...but, as I have 5 bridesmaid and myself to get ready, I've split us between 3 different hairdressers on the morning.x

I wouldn't say its a bad thing, My flower girls mum is doing her hair for her, she agreed that having it done by a professional was a waste of money, and to be fair her mum is amazing at doing her hair, and comes up with the most amazing styles.

If they have have lovely hair anyway, down, with a headband on will look lovely. And its easier to look after if it gets messy, quick brush through, and its sorted x

FG's don't need professional hair done and certainly shouldn't need to wear make up hun!

My sister had 3 FG's for her wedding and they were 5, 7 and 8 at the time. No make up and their hair was just brushed and they wore a hairband. They should look like kids and make up and a fancy professional hair do would ruin that look.

I will have one FG, she'll be 3 and a half when we get married and she will most certainly not be wearing make up and I will just have her wearing a pretty hair band.

my flowergirls are my 2 daughters who will be 18 months & 4 when we get married, we're thinking of just tying their hair back with a flower bobble or getting a small flower clip - saying that if my youngest takes after my eldest she'll still be bald! my eldest didn't get ANY hair till she was nearly 2! x
