My flower girl will have just turned 2 in the May as we get married august next year. When would you say to get her dress so it still fits her for the wedding? Also my son will have just turned 3 and will be wearing a suit. Would you buy or hire? X

I would hold off until 2-3 months before. I have the same problem, my flower girl will turn 2 in April and we are getting married in the June, so I think I will get hers around her birthday. If any alterations are needed there would still be time.

I would probably hire.. what are the chances of him wearing a bought one again before he grows out of it? And I guess he will grow out of it pretty quickly!! x

I agree with flossie. I would hire as its unlikely (I'm assuming) hell wear it again while it still fits him. I would definitely look nit othe flower girl dresses a few months before. You can't always guess how big/small they will be at the time if you were to buy it sooner. Maybe just have a look around and short list a few a month before you plan to buy it, then see what's available at the time from your choices? (without making it sound like getting second best lol!) x

My FG will be 3 and a half at our wedding but I already have her dress, I spoke to her mum and based on the size she is now she said to get age 4, so I got it. However, I got a deal were if it doesn't fit just before the wedding I can change it for the next size but I'm pretty sure it will be big enough x

I am waiting until roughly 3 months before the wedding to get the flower girl dresses, they grow to quick!! Unless I fall in love with a dress that's on sale (being discontinued) then I would probably buy it but in 2 sizes.

With your son's suit I would be inclined to buy it, this is what I'm planning on doing with my sons. The cheapest hire suits I could find were £69 & I can definitely buy a suit cheaper than that, If they don't wear it again I'll sell it & recoup some money.

Our FG turned 3 in January and we got married in May so 4 months later. We ordered the dress at the beginning of February and it came in plenty of time.

I'd go for the cheapest option for the suit xx

I'm the same my daughter is our flower girl turns 2 in April and we marry in August. So probably going to have a look in the mid season sales, there will be plenty of dress about in the summer! My older boys are page boys, we are hiring the shirt cravat and waistcoat from f0rmally y0urs online to match the rest of the guys so will just get their trousers and shoes in the start the summer too. I'm not doing jackets as I don't think they'll need it!

children grown up so fast. i think you can prepare the others stuff for your wedding first this year and next year ( around March) you can buy a dress for your girl.

I got my daughter dress about 2 months ago. With 4 months to go, she was right on the end of the measurements for one dress and at the beginning on the other, so got her the bigger one so she has a big of ruin to grip, looks like it's going to fit perfect.

My Niece was FG at our wedding and she was 2 in December. My Sister bought her dress around January/February time and her shoes a few weeks before because her feet were obviously growing.
