I have found a flower girl dress for my 6 year old flower girl that matches my other bridesmaids dresses. However the size is a size 4year old. We have the measurements of the dress: Chest - 24. Waist - 22.5. Length - 37.5. My flower girls measrements are: Chest 24 Waist 23 and length 30.5. My worry is, do you think that it will fit as you can see it looks like an exact and im getting married in 4 months, am worried she may grow out of it? or can it be altered to make it a little bigger and if so by how many inches?

You will probably be able to let the dress out slight but wont be able to make it longer. But I think you will be fine as it's only months away and I dont think a child would grow that much in a short period of time.
When my mom got married the lady ordered me a size too small in my BM dress. It was let out about an inch either side and I just managed to fit into it and that was 2 weeks before wedding, so I dont think you would have any problems. xx

you may need to take it out a wee bit at the waist and chest area if she grows any bigger between now and the wedding but there is usually some room for alteration in any dress. I have the problem in reverse as had to buy an age 4 dress for my age 3 flowegirl due to the stock running low in the shop, so unless she grows before the wedding, I will have to adjust the length and waist. x

Kids dresses are a funny one - sometimes the can be let out about half an inch either side but sometimes they can't, they can't normally be lengthened either. I'd take it to a seamstress and see what they say.
As a mum I can tell you that sometimes children have really sudden, mental growth spurts - my daughter's grown 3" in as many months, but your FG might be one of those that grows steadily (fingers crossed) but a 6 year old in a 4 year old dress suggests to me you'll be lucky and she won't grow - my girl's the other way around - 4 year old in 6 year old dresses lol Contingency plan would be to see if you can get the same dress in the next size up xxx
