my friends mam has offered to do my flowers for the big day, i know its a long time away but im getting sorted lol, before i mentioned my colours or the flowers i wnated she told me she hated red flowers and she doesnt like dahlias. guess what i want red flowers and dahlias that my friends on the allotments have grown. she also has problems with her hands so finds it difficult to do hand ties for the bridesmaids. she also hasnt mentioned any prices to me about doing the flowers. do you think i should just ask her straight or what as im not a very forward person and i find it a little awkward

I agree, definitely tell her straight away, that way you're going to save yourself from unnecessary stress. Or maybe tell a little white lie such as a family member would like to pay for your flowers as a wedding gift, that way you're saving the woman's feelings. I should't be promoting fibbing but sometimes you need to bend the rules a little bit! Good luck xx

Just mention it now before it drags on, tell her what you want and ask about prices for you budget.

If you want red flowers and dahlias tell the lady thats what YOU want, if she isn't prepared to compromise then look for someone else to do them. I know you don't want to offend your friend or her mum by saying this and can understand its putting you in a predicament. But at the end of it all if your flowers are what you want you should have them regardless xox
do not change your flowers just for the flower maker! just tell her that these are the flowers you chose and if she doesnt want to work with them then youll find some one else....but no hard feelings as you know she doesnt like them!
