Hi I am thinking of wearing flat shoes as I am already 3 inches taller than H2B. It doesnt usually bother us, but he said he doesnt want me to be too tall as he will feel small in the wedding photos. So i decided to wear ballet pumps or something like that, they wont be visible under the dress anyway. Thing is every time I mention it to some (have told my bridesmaids and MIL2b and my mum) they all sort of pull a face and say reall? Are you sure. When I said to my MOH that you cant see them anyway, she said it will affect my posture on the day. Whay do you all think. I am thinkin about buying small heals now, but I dont want H2B to feel self concious in any way. I also think, happy days no sore feet. You cant see my legs or the shoes in the wedding dress, so will it really make that much difference???

I'm with you! However, i can see your BM and MiL's point. I know I stand and walk differently in heels. However, I wore heels for the wedding and then before heading out on the limo tour I just had to change. I was in agony LOL! So I ended up in flip flops under my dress and no one knew! Back in London I'd broken my toe so ended up wearing trainers...again, no one knew, except our photographer...
    You'd never have known LOL!

I'm just an inch shorter than h2b so I'm going for flats too but beautiful ones that I've got from debs, to look at them front on you would know they were flat (if that makes sense) and still very weddingy :) I know what you mean about the posture thing but I cant walk in heels at the best of times so would end up hobbling anyway.

    Heather I love that pic :) x

KATG I think you should do what feels right for you ;) your wedding day is all about the 2 of you joining together, and if you don't want to make your Hubby feel too small I'd wear flats. On the day your bridesmaid, mother in law and all the other guests will be having too much of a lovely time to be thinking about your feet, trust me! lol x

You could always put hubby in heels then you can wear some low ones.
As much as I hate being short sometimes it means most men are taller than me and I can wear whatever heels I like.

I think you'll be grand with flats, I take the point about posture but you can just consciously walk nice and upright on the day! Alternatively there are those shoes with a really really tiny heel, more like the sole just rises a bit towards the heel end, don't know would they look clumpy but maybe they'd be a compromise? I still think though that you should wear flats if you want to. My H2b is six foot six but I may still wear very low heels or flats - I want to be comfortable, and everyone knows he's far taller than me anyway so am not going to break an ankle for the sake of more evenly balanced photos!

I agree with the others, do what is best for you, plus you will be so comfortable as you will be on your feet all day. xx

I'm wearing ballet pumps too. H2B is an inch taller than me so its not for the height factor but purely for comfort! I definitely stand and walk nicer in heels but i know i won't last the day without being in absolute agony and who wants to be in pain on their wedding day?!

My H2B and me are the same height so same dilemia... my thoughts are do what you are happy with. I am very conscious of my height however what to look graceful so wearing tiny heals down the aisle so hold myself better and then pumps for afterwards and can relax better then xx

im going to be wearing flats as there is no way i can walk in heels for the full day lol. it only takes about an hour for my feet to start to feel as if they are going to drop off and i get blisters if i even attempt it lol
no one is going to see under your dress anyways unless you have a knee length gown. i soo prefer to be in comfort rather than agony on my big day

I think you should be comfortable and do what you want to do, at the end of the day it is your and your h2b's day not anyone elses!
Heals help with posture a bit but I think as long as you're not slouching your way down the aisle (which I doubt you will) flats wouldn't make any difference really! :)
