Hi, with 3 months to go until the day i have decided to do some fitness classes, I don't want to lose major weight but need to tone up. I'm thinking half a stone to a stone off and a tone up around the tummy and bum and thighs. I am going to get 10 fitness classess for £33 at the leisure centre, which should last me about a month, so i'll buy a block of 30 classes!! Which classes do you all recommend? xx

Legs bums n tums class is great for exactly that area, I was there on Tuesday and was still sore on Thursday when I went to a kettlebells class. Today I'm aching from that so try them both hun x

Liz has been doing this since january and she's lost a stone! As well as eating sensibly, she does zumba, running and general exercise.
You have to bear in mind that one set of exercises may suit one person, but they may not suit you. Liz found this out herself.
bearing that in mind, I would sign up,on a PAYG basis initially, and see how you get on with it first. If you like it, brilliant. If not, then nothing wasted.

Also consider the fact that most exercises can be done at home, so you,can save some cash. Liz thinks zumba is great though.:-)

Thank you, I was thinking of mixing it up a bit and doing Legs, bums and tums or body bar on a Monday and Pilates on a Wednesday. Then I could do a fitness DVD at home during the weekend.? I went to bootcamp a few months ago and really enjoyed body bar but wasn't there long enough (far too expensive!!) to notice any difference. Thanks guys xx

Pilates is great for toning up! I used to dance before I got injured last year and this is what we used to do 2 times a week, as it really helps with better posture too (which can make you look much slimmer! Bonus!). Zumba is also good, and any barre work (like in ballet) is great as it tones up everywhere! Hope it works out for you xxx

Swimming is the best form of exercise, all over body toning and cardio all in one, plus you get a bonus at the end in either the sauna or steam room :D
It's also gentle on the joints.

"Toning up" is the result of gaining muscle and losing fat. I would recommend a circuit style class with weights and cardio involved. x

Three months is enough time to lose a couple of inches. You can do it, just get focused! x

Zumba and the rowing machine at home for me.. It saves time and I can get it done once I have the little one settled at night. Not to mention quitting the junk food and eating a little more healthily hehe.
Good luck in getting toned for your big day I know you can do it!

I've just bought h2b a xbox with kinect for his birthday. I bought dance central to do to try and loose some weight but already thinking it might be a waste of money, I can't do it when I have time to because he is fast asleep in the next room and I'm like a fairy elephant.

I only started going to classes 5 weeks ago. Ive done circuits once and it killed me. I was in agony for about 4 days after but I do hips bums and tums on a we'd and spinning on thurs and sat. It is hard work but I have noticed a difference already in inches and some trousers fit better.
I did gain weight at first as muscle weighs more than fat but have lost 3lbs this week!! X

Gonna get my moh to do me up in my dress again when mum goes on holiday. Am a bit suspicious of mum. First time tried dress on and mate did it up it was just an inch too small around the bust, then when my mum did it up she couldn't get it anywhere near done up. Seeing as she doesn't want me to marry him I have a feeling it might be sabotage.
