Has anyone any ideas what I can do with the photos from my first wedding? It feels wrong to throw them out, as we were happy once, and our son may like to see them in the future, but I dont feel right keeping them either as H2B living here too now!

Any ideas will be gratefully recieved!

Mine are in the garage for when the kids are older!
They both have one in their rooms beside their beds along with one of me and h2b, our son and them!

My garage is damp tho, and also H2B goes out there a lot. As I said, it just feels wrong having them in the house. But I suppose its a compromise lol
    Thanks

can you ask a grandparent to look after them for you or possibly put them in a loft wrapped in loads of tissue paper

Could you give them to your son now? Put them in his room?

i am in the same position as you, i was married before and and still have my wedding pics, i dont want to keep them as he is in them but i love the ones of me and the family and friends. I feel bad as my h2b knows where they are and i feel like i am being disloyal keeping them. I am thinking of giving them to my mum so the kids can see them in the future but they are not at my house anymore. I went through all the kids old pics when i got with my h2b and the ones with the ex in i gave to him (there wasnt many) so i feel better now they are not in the house too x

I gave my first wedding album to my parents and said do with it as you will .... I've never asked what she did with it, I just didn't want it.
I would give it to your Mum to store for your son when he gets older?

Could you maybe wrap them and box them up to store in a cupboard or something? I am sure that as you and h2b are both adults and you explain that you want to store them for the kids when they are older he will be grown up and understand, they dont have to be totally out of the house.

Just keep them stored in a box in a cupboard or something. Would your h2b mind this? I think your son will want to see them one day, so it would be nice to keep them xx

my mum chopped hers up lol (was violent partner) but do you have a keepsake box for your kids? if you do could you not just keep them in there? at the end of the day they are just photos, but photos your kids may like in later life.

My mum cut all the pics of her and my dad up. It's only now that she realises that she was wrong to do this as I don't have a single picture of him as she destroyed them all. Luckily, my Godmother has one or two so I have copies, but I've never seen any wedding pics of them. I would have liked to see one (if only to prove that they were happy for just one day in their lives LOL)!
I'd try to get someone to look after them for your son. But that's just my opinion babe x

I have kept mine in a box in the garage in case the kids want to see them. I have never looked at them since the day we split up though.
