hey i went to my first wedding fair on sunday and i was a little disappointed really. i was expecting to go and get loads of ideas as it was hostled at a really nice large hotel but i was there a total on an hour it was so small. it really only consided of: one dress stall in which the prices what way over priced one suit hire place in which the price u pay for the suits its cheaper to buy them and keep it for other occasions six wedding cars that they had parked outside two of which was the exactly the same 2 wedding ring stalls they had a live singer and guitars both of which was of poor quality and a few other stalls that sold/hired chair covers etc the only good thing really was a got a little bag with a few magazines in it. i was expecting a drink on arrive to but nothing.
sorry for the rant does anyone know of any good fairs they been to? or as any one been to anything simplier thats been a little disappointing?

sum are betetr than others hun!!! the ones in bigger places tend to be better!!! i went one sunday was crap , no drink no nothing lol just keep goin! i did find a gud photographer at one last year but dint hav date soooooooooooooo wish i had been able to book him!!!

First one I went to was rubbish. Was in a hotel in Edinburgh and I was really excited but it was pretty much as you described. The big ones like the one on Sunday in the Metro Arena in Newcastle are really good. Loads of freebies! and ideas of course. x

First one that I went to was with H2B in Sept and it was a pretty poor show so I didn't expect anything better for the one that I took my mum to in October. It was pretty much the same but with more of a hard sell attitude from stall holders. One photographer kept calling and calling and emailing and emailing until I firmly said I wasn't interested as we didn't have the £2K for their min package! I'm taking the MiL2B and SiL2B to the B'ham show - the one you have to pay a fair amount for - in March. Hoping that will be better!
becky: i dont live near traffod as i love in nottingham so about 1 1/2 drive but my h2b is from manchester so maybe a opinion if we visit his mum around that time i can go have a look whiles hes at his mums thanks for letting me know will look in to it
i was meant to be goin to the birmingham one last year but both me and boh cudnt afford it at the time and we was both looking forward to it

infact the best one is atthis hotel just behin dmy house ( small but ncie) got free free mask etc lol and that was just to nosey b4 i was actually enaggaed lol

Went to my first one the other week - stayed half hour! It was at a hotel and absolutely rammed! But got quite a few freebies, so that made up for it! Thing was, I knew what I was after, and there wasn't any stalls related to it, which was a shame.
However, going to another one in two weeks, which promises to be much bigger (it's at the Excel Centre in London) - and this time I'm going with my best mate (h2b is working - and he was useless at the first one!!) Gotta pay for it, but managed to get brides go free with one paying guest! So can't go wrong hopefully!
