I am seeing my first venue this weekend. Can't wait I am so excited. I have my list of questions at the ready :)

Going to The Savoy Park Hotel in Ayr. Best part is they have a wedding on that afternoon so it will be all set up :) and to top it off he is letting me drag him to a wedding fair in Glasgow right after it. He is so well behaved and starting to get the hang of this wedding planning malarky lol :)

Then next Saturday I am going to see the Ingliston Country Club ( which I think I like more). Told h2b to keep me under control as I think if I reaaly like the one next week then I might book on the spot. He has told me to be sensible and make sure we have a think about it but at least we have agreed that the wedding is going to be summer of 2016 to allow us to save up plaenty of cash.

Still have another couple of venues on my list that I want to see to though xx

Thank you georgi. Definately a change in his attitude to things since we had a wee fight about how he needed me to help him pick a wedding gift for his best friend but I was to pick venues on my own. He is making an effort now xx

Agree with H2B though: don't book on the spot, and also, try not to look too keen; that way, you tend to have more bargaining power.

I found our venue pretty quickly (4th one of about 14 that we looked at), but still kept all our other appointments, just in case. We had loads of time, and that way, I knew it was definitely 'the one'.

We managed to secure their current prices by booking when we did, and also got a great deal on the hotel rooms (if we'd booked now, our guests would be paying around £20-30 more pp for the night); so, once you've narrowed it down, I'd def see if they can fix this year's prices for you; can save a lot!

How exciting I am going to visit My Dream Venue in October and I cannot wait I'm a 2016 Bride too and lucky your H2B is getting more involved in the wedding and take lots of pictures for us to gander at at both venue visits, I've been to two wedding fairs H2B unable to come to both may get him to go to one in the next few years The One I really want to go to is The Eden Project Wedding fair which is a month before I'm going to view My Dream Venue and get a portfolio of times and prices and they get an idea of My Wedding so it is pointless me trying to get up their for that evening when I'm down their the next month =D ♥ X
