We are doing that too. We have had three lessons so far and we both love it. We are doing the quickstep to our song. We thought we would be really bad but in an hour and a half (three lessons) we are already able to box waltz and also have done the first two lots of our routine. We are now half way through how to turn the corner.

well done hun i dont want a dance dance as in fox trot or waltz i just want a dance to go with our music that isnt shuffleing about :)

I'm sure they will sort something out for you. Its not as hard as you think it will be.

I so want to do this. OH is not completely opposed to idea so will def look into it. Found one place in Edinburgh but their prices were ridiculous. Would any of you ladies care to share how much your lessons were and what you get? Sorry for being cheeky.xxx

I pay £12 for half an hour as Its all my body can take at the moment but its more than enough to learn what you need to learn. We go once a fortnight which again is more than enough.
CommentAuthorhjl2001uk
OMG that's amazing. This place wanted nearly £400 for and hour and a half

Oh also if you are wanting to do it better start earlier rather than later. My dance teacher has said that she has had couples do it in 8 weeks before but it is stressfull on them and they preasure themselves where as if you do it earlier you then put the polish on things and as you know the steps off by hart then it means you get to enjoy the dance and what is going on around you rather than counting one two three four, Back, right, right, forward, right, right lol.
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
OMG £400! What a rip off. My teacher is ace. She makes it fun and easy to pick up the moves. They are private lessons too with just us in the room. We could go to the classes for £4.50 which we will do later on when we get better.

£400!!! Sheesh, I'm a dance teacher and I would never consider charging that much for a first dance. Weddings are ridiculously expensive enough.
We're saving money by doing it ourselves. I'm a street dancer without much experience in ballroom but I'm very excited at the challenge. Especially with my h2b being... let's say "rhythmically challenged".

ohh im dreading our first dance h2b refuses lessons so should make for interesting viewing for the guests hehe xx

lmfao mike is actually pretty well coordinated when he gets into it! I used to take dance lessons and seem to have retained most of my jazz and ballroom dancing experiences. I'd still love to go back and get dance lessons for our first dance song though xxx
CommentAuthorljeh92
h2b actually wants to start the dance with something like a watlz to rule the world by take that, then after a minute or so, break in to a boogie or something with a song like funkytown off kinect cos he loves it lol..

We go to dance lessons... Not just for the wedding tho.
Ive always wanted to be able to dance, and Kev used to go with his Ex wife so he knows how to dance.. We pay £6 each on a Tues night to go for 45 mins... to do modern jive! we do it as a hobby.
We love it, AND it will come in handy for the wedding... (Not First Dance)

We finally started working on our first dance, with less than 6 weeks to go! I've planned out the choreography, its just a case of teaching it to him and making adjustments. Oh, and put my gel cushions from my demi-pointes on my toes so it doesn't hurt when he steps on me. lol.
CommentAuthorEnny
dont think h2b will be wanting to take dancing lessons but maight just have to force him how did u manage that anyway???
