We are having I get a kick out of you by Frank Sinatra because we also don't have 'a song' as such but when we first got together my h2b left a note on the table with those words and we are also having a jazz/swing singer who does all those kind of songs. We are now taking secret dance lessons so we can shock out guests.

Our first dance song is Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan, we both love him as an artist and it has kind of just become our song since we got together the second time around. Never even had to worry about picking from all the millions of songs, it was just agreed on straight away, lovely! x

My H2B hates Cheesy music.
He hates pop bands - he likes musicians, but he doesnt like lyrics that try and put words in your mouth!

In other words its very difficult to find a song we can agree on.

I have suggested as my two top choices :

The wedding singer - I wanna grow old with you. (Not the westlife version!)

Neither of us go for the whole westlife, Boyzone type stuff. way too slushy for us. But we dont want anything too upbeat because we dont want to choreograph anything.

Once song we both love is The power of love - Huey Lewis (yes the song from Back to the future) But its a little too up beat and would mean we would most likely have to choreograph something - and my H2B is soooo worried about looking silly - so its out of the question.

We can't dance either Emsy.... or so we thought but we are on our second dance lesson now and we can box waltz and quicksep now. Its not that hard to learn if you wanted to do something special for the first dance. We didn't want to have two left feet on the day and its been great fun to learn as well as builing on my physio work.

i would love if my H2B would go to some classes with me (even if it was just to build his dancing confidence) but I know he wont!

the only thing about the first dance my h2b wants it later on once every one as settled in to the party part of it all and am not sure about the idea.. i think it is best to have it first before everyone gets into disco but after speeches... when is everyone else having it?

I haven't got parents so when we open up the dance to all I'm going to grab his dad and he is getting his mum.

Our singer is going to anounce us up to do the first dance and clear the floor for us.

I like massive attack's teardrop or kings of leon's closer for our first dance. We don't have our own song as such.

We are having metallica nothing else matters, also have ordered our rings to have "nothing else matters" engraved inside. We both like metallica, both liking a bit of metal but wanted something mellow for first dance that still let our personalities shine through..... and it just so happened that he proposed while we were in rome and that evening as we were walking through a plaza there was a guy playing it on an accoustic guitar. So it was the first song we heard after gettng engaged, just feels right and perfect.

ry wants us to have come what may as we walk down the aisle (am sooo nervous about that bit) but first dance we not too sure about yet. the first song we danced to on our first date was sexy back (justin timberlake i think) but i cant imagine me bringing sexy back on the dance floor in front of my parents hahahahahahahahaha lmao!!!!!! can just see the looks of shock on their faces lol!!! So dont know yet i want to do a viennesse waltz but they hard!! (:S) So not too sure yet got an idea for the parent/child (easier) dance maybe there you'll be?? Dont know tho mayb have that as our first dance and the viennesse waltz with parents???? I wanted my father daughter dance to be "i wanna be like you" from jungle book but my daddy said no cos it a quickstep!! (Sulking face!) so yeah have a few options though i heard angel by sarah mclochlan (?) the other day which was beautiful not sure if the words are right for a first dance tho hmmmm
