i keep going through so many song options and keep thinking back to wonderwall by oasis. oasis mean a lot to us as a couple and i like the music, h2b loves them, darent mention this to him though because the min i mention it he might get too excited that i cant change my mind if i want to. we found out i was pregnant with my daughter at an oasis gig (i had the call the hosp for the blood results and was told to ring after 3pm by which time we were already in cardiff stadium lol) hes quite happy to go with whatever as long as he likes the song and he thinks it suits us he just wont have anything sappy and too romantic that gets played at a lot of weddings. i like amazing by bruno mars but then am not sure...
we are going to have amazed by lonestar as we have always thought of it as our song since we got together. my best friend had Michael Buble - everything as her first dance and its a song i just cant get out of my head now its brilliant xx

My h2b and I are metalheads, so we're currently looking at "All I Need" by Within Temptation. I really wanted "Good Enough" by Evanescence or "Lovesick" by Damh the Bard, but they've been taken out because the former was a little gory and the latter was a bit sexual (so not very appropriate).

It's cheesy but hey ho. Think ppl sometimes try too hard to be different/unique, I just want to dance and smile with my boy!

I keep changing my mind - at first we wanted Ingrid Michaelson's 'You and I', then I found a different song that is by a really not at all famous band (the music elitist in me demands something nobody has heard :P) and I wanted that... but I also keep hearing all of these other songs that fit us perfectly... I guess I'll just have to wait until closer to the time! I have a million songs on my shortlist... I know we can't just have a load of first dances... but choosing that one special song is really hard. I'm indecisive naturally about everything, but my love of music means this song has to be *perfect* - music was my first love, and will be my joint last love with h2b and I can't imagine setting the soundtrack to our life together with a song that is less than perfect!

Think we are having wonderful tonight but the damage version as this is our song. We did want snow patrols chasing cars first as that's what song was playing when I gave birth to my little boy, but h2b brother had that at his wedding!! There are some lovely song choices on here. I really like the leona Lewis version of run so Im thinking of having that when I walk into the church.

MrsCandlin2B, I know! Evanescence is one of my favourite bands too, and Good Enough has always summed up how I feel about my h2b. But we both agreed that a love song with the line "crave my heart and its bleeding in your hand" might cause our more straitlaced relatives (i.e. mine) to flip out a bit. Also the song we've ultimately chosen has a very clear waltz timing so it works out well for me, choreographically speaking.

We've really been struggling with this. Originally we were going to have 'Don't Stop Believing' but think we've now settled on 'Grow Old with you' which is the song that Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore on the plane in 'the wedding singer'. We don't have our own song and neither of us are really into the traditional slow songs, but we both really like the words in this one. We'll probably change our minds again soon enough though!
