Wedding Forum - First dance songs **closed**...

We have all the songs picked for the ceremony but are really stuck on what to have for a first dance.
What is everyone else thinking of having? xx

well good luck hope he does well my h2b is into music as well and is making some good suggestions so closer to the time things may change

We're stuck on songs too... So far we have some thoughts - Buble, everything. And Just the way you are (no idea who the artist is). We just listen to the radio and if we hear a nice song we write it down on the consider list. Nearer the time we'll look at the lyrics and eliminate songs until there is only one left... then we'll have to get some dancing lessons :/

it doesn't matter what song I pick until I get someone to teach my h2b how to dance lol he has two left feet bless him

we have a song that was playing when we met is there not a song that is appropriate along those lines that you could play or perhaps a song you both like.

We're not doing a first dance, but w do have a song - it's SOAD Chop Suey lol

We're having lucky by Colbie Callait and Jason Mraz - lovely words in it!
And.... also... I love you by Celine Dion as h2b sang it to me whilst we were cuddling on the sofa the day he told me he was in love with me :-D

We're having Thank you for loving me by bon jovi and save the last dance by michael buble! Couldn't choose so we're having 2!

I'm pretty sure whatever we have for our first dance will make cry!

Well we're gonna start with A momentl like this by Leona - as that was number 1 when we got together but the song we love is 'All I want for Chistmas' by Mariah so we're gonna launch straight into it! H2b proposed on Christmas day 2009. Our wedding is August but we're still playing it! lol xx

We were talking last night and then it came to us. When we first got together my h2b scribbled the lyrics to Frank Sinatra's 'I get a kick out of you' and left it on the table before he went to work. Its something that has personal meaning to us so we are going to have that as a first dance song. To make it even more special our entertainment is a jazz/swing singer and he is going to sing it us live on the night and hopefully we will be able to record it to keep it as a keep sake. We just need to learn how to do the dance now lol.

Me and H2B (more him than me) love the band The Calling - and the lead singer Alex Band has went solo. His stuff hasn't reached over here yet but you can get it from America. You can also buy his unreleased songs and there is a few we love but he wants one - a part of me- the lyrics are amazing, but it is 4mins 20 secs long and quite slow - a bit worried about it already :p

We're leaving the Church to Greatest Day by Take That and our first dance song is Your Song by Ellie Goulding. I loved the originial sooooo much and didnt think her cover would be any good but im in LOVE with it.. =D x

Think we might have changed our mind and have snow patrol's Chasing Cars instead!

Lemar- Feels Right is a beautiful slow number with lovely lycrics :) Its on my 1st dance list but me and H2B haven't thought about this much yet.
