they're something you can do a bit in advance so there's no last minute rush. Can always do a batch at a time and keep themin the fridge or somewhere cool and just add a batch more when you get a bit of time :) Make girlie nights of it ? x
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie

Watch when spooning chocolate in.
i melt my chocolate in a bowl over a simmering pan of water (not boiling) Never do it the microwave way it is far too easy to burn the chocolate that way!!

ohhh wow they look pretty :) but u should be defo making them nearer the time than as chocolate goes off after a certain time if u keep it to long :) so therefore i reckon u should do them like maximum 3months in advance and keep them cool but yeay the trial seemed like it went well :) so babes and where is my sample now??? xx
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie
Hee hee. I can send you one if you like? Lol. X x x

Just posted a pick of my white chocolate butterfly i have made with my new chocolate mould!!
I like these so much better and they are thinner than the others so will use less chocolate to make! Whoop let me know what you ladies think!!

you are very clever!!!!
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie
thank you! I am planning on doing a white, milk and dark on for each guest and having them wrapped in purple foil! I just need to find the chocolate i want to make them with that will taste good, hence why im making some now, lots of nice chocolate tasting!! lol! I like this mould better than the other one i used as it has more detail, Alot harder to make them though being thinner but worth it in the end!

mmm I vote milkybar chocoalte for the whites! It's my fave in the world
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie
Lol. It all depends how it is melted down, some chocolates can lose the taste and be a bit yuck once they have been melted and set again but i will have to try it as milkybars are just nom!! xxx
CommentAuthorRoxy
Or how about just cooking chocolate? It a bit cheaper, I don't think you would notice much difference in the white and dark, maybe the milk though, it has that cooking chocolate taste
CommentAuthorWeeMintyMonkie
yeh iv tried a cooking chocolate for milk and it was YUCK!!
I tried cooking chocolate in white which is the one iv just posted, dark chocolate is next. I am doing thinner chocolates so they might not notice the same! lol!
also the hobby.... craft do choclate melts which im going to try out coz if the taste alright then i will just use them as they are cheap! xxx

why not leave them as they are and put them in a cellphane bag with a purple ribbon and a little butterfly tag saying "eat me"???
just an idea as i think they are far too pretty to be wrapped in foil :-)
also the chocolate melts all taste like vanilla apart from the milk chocolate and dark chocolate ones but they are so easy to use apart from if you heat them too much! i recommend using a ceramic bowl as they hold the heat best and keeps the chocolate workable as once it sets thats it its had it :-)

I have my organza bags for putting the chocolates into so might get so clear wrapping to wrap them for guests to see. you can see the pattern through the foil if i wrap them properly, iv still plenty time to decide exactly what im going to do. I was going to get the mint dark chocolate ones lol. xxx

Ooh the chocolate from the new mould looks great! Homemade chocolates are a great idea! I think we're doing homemade wedding cake shaped biscuits, but I'm now temtped by the chocolates!
Very happy to say I'm now Mrs Keates and loving it!

Thanks.
I might get another 2 chocolate moulds identical to the second one so i can make more at one time. Im planning on makeing 3 chocolates per person (still not sure if ill do for all guests or just the meal guests) If i do for all i will have a basket for the evening guests to help themselves and the rest will be on their table place!
