I'm looking at arranging my wedding for August 2014 and have a really low budget can anyone PPPLLLLEEEESSSSEEEEEEE help me with a lovely venue that's cheap and offers a ceremony for 30 + 3 course hot meal and a reception for 100-150 with buffet. Car, Limo, all the rest etc lol. PPPLLLEEEAAASSSEEE come to my rescue I've searched high n low and not found nothing less than £6,000 all included. I hope someone can help me out with my massive dilemma! PS I'm new to UK Brides so don't know quite how to do this (lol) Colleen xx

The quote me function is good...
DIY helps make the budget go further and don't trust first quotes... there's always barganining power!
I have paid for very little full price. Consider seperate venues and catering. Look at real weddings in bridal magazines to see what they did, call in fvaours. Sometimes the simplest weddings are the most stunning and beautiful
you just need to get your creative head on and shop hard!
And we lived happily ever after!

Ok firstly budget? Have you thought about a week day wedding? Having your venue? Local, golf club rugby club? Do you know anyone with a nice car? There are loads of people on Facexxxx that do cakes, you could even make your own? Bay of e do fantastic dresses etc, good luck x

Have you tried gr0up0n for weddings in your area - they do deals, alternatively like the others said DIY as much as you can What about a local village hall for the reception - depends on your budget really but we did everything excluding honeymoon for 53 day and 100 night guests for 5k

Firstly
You've come to the right place. What is your budget?
The best place to start is considering a midweek low season wedding as you get the best deals that way, also look at late booking deals.
For the dress go to sample sales or there is a dressmaker who many ladies on here have used who does replicas of designer dresses for a fraction of the price, fondly referred to on this site as "she who cannot be named".
DIY saves a lot, the smaller the bridal party the less you spend on suits and bridesmaids dresses. Consider doing your own makeup if you're good at it.
People on here have so many ideas for money saving tips so you won't be short of advice xxx

I've put a link on your wall for a barn near Brigg, they provide the venue and completely decorate it out for you to your choice, they also provide the evening disco, if you had it midweek like a Thursday, you would still have money in your budget for cars, catering etc. :)

look at community centre's as well most will let you decorate the day before so you can get it to look just as beautiful as anywhere else, and they're ridiculously cheap, also local leisure centre's, bay of e is good for loads of thing's, wedding fair's etc and like some of the other's have said making some of your own things, also places like £land, I've got my wedding bubble's from their among other things, good luck hun :) xx
it's been a long hard road, but hopefully we're getting
somewhere :) xx

Once you've booked your registrar and venue other things start to fall in to place and ideas will start forming, keeping browsing through the threads on the forum link and you will soon get the hang of it :)
