    Hi,

I am getting married in Aberdeenshire and really like the idea of having fireworks at the wedding, it is the perfect setting for it and I love the photographs that you get with the back of the bride and groom with the firework in front.

I have contacted two companies who have given me quotes but just wanted to see if anyone else is having them/has had them and if they think it would be a good idea

    xx

I would love fireworks for my big day but the castle don't allow it as its surround by trees which is understandable. We can't have chinese lantern's or confetti either.

Aww that's a shame, maybe you could get the indoor pyrotechnics or something when you do speeches or cut the cake? xx

Hi Bex, Im really hoping to have fireworks too. My mum is helping pay for the majority of the wedding so it rests on how much money we can save up between us but I agree the photos would be stunning!

I say go for it if its what you both want! Happy Hunting! xxxx

I would have had them but my venue, similar to Sweetchilli, didn't allow us due to the trees.
I think they are magical :)

    Hi Ladies

I am getting married at Dundas Castle and this is something that I was thinking of. Can I ask roughly how much yous have been quoted for fireworks as it is something that I have not done as of yet.
Id love to have fireworks at the end however if it is going to cost an arm and a leg Ill possibly need to re consider

    xx

I'm not criticising anyone that is having them but personally, I dont want to scare anyones animals and my h2b suffers from PTSD from the gulf war and on bonfire night everytime there was a big boom I could tell it was affecting him and he kept saying that is the same sound as a suiside bomber when they blow up. Sorry to put a damper on things but there not for us but if your having them thats fine its a personal choice. xx

We're having fireworks - one of the first things we booked after the venue!

Ours are costing £822; our company is from London and we are getting married in Kent.

    Thanks Tinsel

I will know more of what I can and can't do on Sunday as I am going to the Castle to discuss some of the menus so I will ask them first if I am allowed and then look around for companies up here :-)
For 822 how long are they lasting?

    xxx

We both love fireworks but we can't justify the cost. The cheapest sequence was £600.

I love fireworks but think it'll be too expensive. We certainly wont be budgeting for them but if there's any money left over (yeah right!) then may look into it. I do like hte pictures where the bride and groom and made a heart shape with the sparkler and te heart shape is framed around their face. That looks lovely so may have to get some sparklers x

I have been quoted £900 for a 10 minute display and also £520 for a 10 minute display so will probably go with the £520 one. That company comes from Edinburgh x

I live near a firework factory - I have looked into their prices and they have 1 ignite display boxes. 100 shots 60 seconds for £100 so your quotes look reasonable. I can't justify sending £100 up in smoke for a minutes worth of oooohh and aaaahhhh

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

The advice I was given was to look at how many shots you get and what the intensity will be like. We could have had a cheaper display for 10 minutes, but it wouldn't have been as 'wow' because there were fewer fireworks and they were fired slower.

I'd love fireworks but my venue dont allow them (or chinese lanterns) because its surounded by farm land and the farmer complained :(

That and I imagine they'd be hellishly expensive!
