Had the idea of having a firework display during my reception as myself, h2b and the 3 children all love them but after looking at prices may have to give it a miss.
Locally to me the average price is £600 for an average of 2-3 minutes of display. Don't think I could part with that amount of money for such a short amount of time to show for it!

I know what you mean - we couldn't find a venue that allowed them anyway, although we probably wouldn't have gone for it due to that reason...mind you, I do think it can add a real 'wow' factor...personally, I would have sacrificed a fancy car for it! Xx

I think I could use the money to upgrade in,other areas.
As we all know what the weather is like in this glorious country as I'm having a September wedding no doubt it would rain!

My venue would probably say no as the grounds are big but don't know whether they would be big enough for the display and 100+ guests x

It's normally because of the risk of them possibility hitting and damaging the venue xx

Plus, I've been to a wedding before where a lot of people didn't go outside (it was quite bad timing as the buffet had not long opened) so a lot of the guests didn't see them xx

Our venue wont allow them - or even chinese lanterns due to its proximity to residential housing, Sparklers r ok tho, and those small indoor fireworks are ok too. Not exactly a great alternative - but a cheap option for a bit of "wow" at the end of your first dance lol.

Rainbow the indoor fireworks are a good idea. Went to an engagement party and they had them.
    Will look into it x

I'd seriously look into the venue first. A couple of years ago a couple had fireworks at a very old venue.

    It went from this...
