Hi i have searched on here but cannot find anything......
Im wanting something to complete the night ie...fireworks / lanterns.
But am not sure whether the venue will allow either. Has anyone got any ideas as to what i can do or what youre doing to finalise your night?

Most venues won't let you have lanterns and the fireworks have to be done by a specialist company with insurance which costs around £750 for 7 mins. I'm sure that your guests will have already had a special night by the time it comes to an end so you don't need a grand finally. Either that or could you do a last dance? Get your Dj/Entertainer to gather everyone together for a final dance?

i wouldnt recommened lanterns....they may look nice but they are a big health adn safety hazard..esp if they blow onto bushes etc and set them alite!!

why dont you make up a slideslow of pictures from when you and h2b have been together and make it into a presentation slideshow with ur fave song playing in the background?? then at the last slide, thank everyone for coming :D

I was thinking of doing a last dance with all my guests and having a balloon drop, you can get a big one for around 40 pound if you search google.. but alot of people mentioned that some guests don't actually stay right till the end and they will miss it so I've decided to just leave it as it is and people can slowly drindle out as they wish. The day will be amazing as it is, I don't think it needs any grand ending. Good luck x

At the end of ours we had Auld Lang Syne and both myself and hubby danced in the centre of the ring and some of the guys came and lifted hubby up or at least tried which was a sight for sore eyes. xx

lol most of our guests will be in bed or drunk in a corner by the end of the night! Although our whole wedding is going to be VERY Scottish so there's bound to be a final dance of Loch Lomand (not runrig version as OH hates it), Flower of Scotland, Auld Lang Syne etc.

We're not allowed fireworks or lantarns as the hotel is surrounded by farmland but we're looking at maybe having an indoor lightshow at some point in the evening.

we wernt allowed firworks but these are indoor pyrotechincs so dont go bang and therefore are basically silent (ones used on ex factor) were leaving at 10pm thou so were leaving our party early

We're having fireworks (found a company that will do them for £600 for about 10 mins) and sky lanterns. Our venue has said yes to both.

You can get the lanterns quite cheap and they look beautiful.
