Hi I'm looking around bury st Edmunds, norwich and Cambridge area sweet, it's so hard to put a budget on a venue because I've seen some beautiful places and the prices are so expensive lol, so I'm trying to find some where that's still lovely but my dream is to be married outside, but so far iv found them to be budgeting at £7000 I don't know anything about weddings lol so not sure if that's a lot xxxx

I'm in Cheshire, but from when I was looking for a venue, for 2014, I'd say that, depending on the package, thats a little on the high side.
We're paying £5000 which includes, 3 course sit down for 60, with a 4-drink alcohol package, evening buffet for 100, chair covers, table linens etc, top table arrangment, dj, dancefloor, bridal suite, 2x 'parent' suites, and a hotel room the night before. Includes room hire for ceremony and an upgrade on the menu package too!
Most places we visited were around the £6000 line but we did check out the local Inns of holiday as they have some amazing offers. Namely weddings from £1000!!! x

Have you looked at Fritton Lake hun? Its a bit further out than Norwich but you can marry outside there and they have 3 different venues for different budgets so may be somewhere to consider? Also there is a Norfolk thread on here so if you have a read through that maybe there is a venue on there you haven't thought of looking at yet? There is also a new place being built near Ormsby which again is a bit further out than Norwich, but it is right next to a lake and again you can marry outside and the reception venue is inside but has a complete glass front which can also be opened right up so that you can walk straight out onto the riverside (my friend is looking at marrying there in 2015!) xx

Email a few and ask for quotes.
Then you can whittle them down by price.
We are looking at £3500 we are only having a small day but a big party at night.

You could do a search for package wedding or budget wedding for your area on g00gle - sometimes some very good and unexpected options will pop up

I'm in Cambridge - and it's hard - bloomin' expensive area... some of the big hotels do some kind of cheaper deals if you're looking for a small ceremony - but not sure about how they'll be if you increase the numbers in the evening
