So normally OH will just nod and agree when I try plan but got home today and he had chose his Favorite photographer and where he wants our honeymoon to be :) He was getting all excited when he was telling me about them, cute <3 How is everyone's OH on here with planning etc?
CommentAuthorkatie_lou
aww so cute! mine has taken responsibility for choosing a church, and then aslo the honeymoon destination (in secret) - thats all he wants to be responsible for... the rest is up to me although i will run the budget by him as hes a bit of a money geek!! its good that one of us is though!! i think H2B will be more involved as the date gets closer.... xx

You are lucky! It took my h2b up to 3 months ago to realise that he really needs to put in his two penneth if he wants certain things to happen on our day. I think most men dont bother until it gets closer and seems more real, so you are very forunate to have a h2b who wants to get involved at this stage.
Btw just changed the category of your thread to Grooms - hope thats ok. xxx

I made sure my H2B was involved in some way so i gave him the task of finding a photograher, which i have to admit he done quite a good job of. As time has gone on though he has been taking more of an interest in the planning x

Haha I am lucky, even though he just searched "wedding photography" and he picked one in london thinking the computer would only give photographers for Fife! ... I worry about him haha :) And yeah of course thats okay thanks xx
My h2b is involved with everything apart from my dress obviously!x

When we first started planning my OH was as into it as me but the more wedding fayres we have been to and the more suppliers we have had conversations with the less his enthusiasm has become. When I asked him the other day why he said it was because every time we have spoken to anybody connected to the wedding they have told him that the wedding is nothing to do with him, he just has to turn up! I now have the up hill struggle of convincing him that his opinion is just as important as mine.

your lucky my h2b keeps says its 'the brides day' so I have to choose everything lol. although it was his idea to marry on the beach and to ask a friend to hold the service etc. He also picked his 2 besn men and his ring style, so i guess he not done too bad. but as far as he is concerned the little things like decorations and cake are down to me cos he isn't interested in the 'frilly' bits:)
Soon to be joined together as the Wheeler family, can't wait
Doing thing our way xxxx

It seems unfair on the grooms that most places and suppliers only want to talk to the bride.
CommentAuthorKiki1993
haha! A lot of men have this thought that its the brides day, has don't tell the bride not taught them anything? I love chossing things for the wedding but the second money and budgeting is involved it gets so much more difficult! x

my OH has tried hijacking the whole thing (including the dress which i put my foot down) but i must admit he's got better taste than me and his budget is better than what i'm going with lol don't know if i'm lucky or not lol

Mine's quite good really, there are certain things he couldn't care less about, and I get "what the hell are favours anyway?"! He's quite opinionated on colours, music, food, suits, guestlists and transport.
The photographer is completely down to mine - it's an obsession of mine!
If only life could be one long tea break

My h2b insists on me running everything by him (except the dress of course) and wants to be involved in every decision even flowers, colours etc, however he knows he is useless at organsiation, budgeting and finances etc so he's leaving all the planning down to me. I take a shortlist of ideas to him and ask which one? If it were up to him he'd pick the first photographer/venue/suit etc he sees! I don't think he understands shopping around :D xx

my h2b has designed our cake which to be honest i was shocked at the work and i secretly hope our friend does it to the way he wants. after christmas hes going to sort out his kilts, go give notice and were going to sort our wedding rings too. also hes just asked my dad to plan his stag as he thinks the bm will forget some have certain health issues so they cant do certain things then were going to do the vows together. so up to now its been all me but hes going to work after the new year, he kept saying it was too soon to start. xxx
All the ways of my life id rather be with you.
Theres no way without you.

mine has good and bad days lol. when it comes to things he can actually see and touch he gets well involved.. but when it comes to pictures of chair covers and balloons etc on here he drifts off. i think he struggles with actually visualising it bless lol x

We have decided everything together from the start, apart from my dress.

My H2B doesnt really care at the moment if im honest, and sometimes its a real mood killer, especially if i get something for the wedding or ive seen something that would be fab. He's normally a big plan in advance kind of guy but this just doesnt seem to excite him at the moment. I'm putting it down to stress of uni/dissertation, hes got to get excited some time!

My OH decided to get involved properly about a week ago, when he suddenly decided we needed centerpieces.... I've got my aunt on them as he doesn't care at all what they look like. But, he is "secretly" planning my hen do. I only know when and where although i'm not supposed to know any of it lol
CommentAuthorAntonia9
my h2b is leaving it all up to me, he gets involved in the conversations and he agreed on the BM's dresses, he gave me his guest list the other day and does get excited when we talk about stuff - but generally the answer is "whatever you want babe! " lol MEN! x
Cant wait to become Mrs Purdie x x x x
