so yesterday we finally gave notice, with drama of best man not bothering and wanting to do the job and trying to choose someone else with less than 45 days to go it was a close one. although the registrar said we had till the 26th october i didnt want to wait. so after 20 mins and payment the forms were handed in checked and now we pick up our licence 5th november

ah man thats it no turning back...........

Hehe, know how you feel. We finally got to give notice with one day to spare before the deadline. The ink had just about dried on OH's decree absolute after his ex had managed to delay it for as long as possible. Time to get properly excited now for you, good luck.

You can relax a bit now :-)

Did they ask you any questions. We are seeing ours on Tuesday we had to pay £70 just to "talk" to them. Friends of ours were in there for two hours earlier this year.

Gosh we were in about ten minutes each, then five minutes together.

They asked me ohs full name, date of birth and address and occupation, and the same thing for him, that was about it really xx

We were in there about 30 minutes I was 10 minutes on my own as H2B had to give notice where he lives as we aren't in the same district but I was lucky as the registrar is my sister and she is marrying us but I still had to answer all the questions properly and show my papers etc. x

We still need to do ours, I know we have plenty of time, but its one of those things that can be done now so may as well just get it over and done with!!
Don't see how we could get each others address wrong, we live together and im unemployed so should be pretty quick and easy! xx

will make me cry for certain cos both our parents are dead and my sister is very much like my mum in her ways and she bosses me about as well lol. She married my son back in June and that made me cry as well. Mind you doesn't take alot to do that at the moment lol x

Does everyone pick up a marriage licence? Our registrar didn't mention it? But then were having a civil ceremony? X
