YEAY!!! as title says we have finally agreed on a date and reserved it at the venue! although now ry saying he wants the saturday instead of the friday which is going to be an extra £500 x still we have a date!!! And a venue!! so 9th august 2013!!!! then i will finally become mrs sheader!! although i hope that we can stick to the friday otherwise it means waiting around for about 4 hours between wedding breakfast and evening do!! x still it at the Crown hotel in sunny scarborough overlooking the sea aswell so am well happy!!!!! xx

sorry havent been on in ages! have spoken to the florist and been to look at suits today! although am feeling a bit downhearted really as my aunty has said that they are on holiday that week and that means that my two young bms arent gona be there! plus rys other best mate has said he doesnt want to be a groomsman as he doesnt think he will be able to get up for anything! so now i ust feel what the point!!! thinking just go away and do it will be cheaper and we will get to have a honeymoon too!! grrrr!!!

aww hun isnt about them tho yeah its dis hearting but remembering why ur doing this 2 marrying ur h2b! my wedding was getting a bit silly she wanted 2 do this he needed that they didnt like this so me n h2b one day walked past a travel agent Booked 2 get married in cyprus cancelled dep on church! and were marrying in july! do whats right for you hun but dont get disheartened as long as u and h2b is there thats what matters xxx

Krazykitty I would take a break from weddings for a couple of days. It's really hard to want to plan or sort anything when you've had a wedding related dissappointment. It just seems like everything will be wrong and nothing you want is available - but it will all be fine. Just put it all away for a day or two and come back with a fresh head - you'll be in a far better frame of mine then. x

thanks lizzylou! i did actually have a few days away well didnt have anything to do really! The whole contract thing has been messed up so that might be coming through today! But im just sick of the whole thing and im sorry but gonna have a rant now!! cant do it anywhere else!! GRRRRR!!!!! MEN!!!!! (sorry for any grooms on here) i have been trying since we started seriously looking for venues to get ry to write his guest list and he keeps saying it will take thinking and that he will do it!! The contract has to be in on tuesday and he still wont write it up!! IT only has to be a provisional one!! And he getting cross with me because he asked me how many people he can have and after spending ages working it out (maths is not my strong suit) i tell him and he not happy because it means that there just over 50 people for the day and not many more for the evening and that it wasnt what i said before! but i have been working out the costs and at £65 roughly per adult head that all we can afford!! especially as he wont put any effort into doing anything else to pay for it!! i have been trying for ages to get a second job or more hours at work and nothing is coming of it!! so all the money we have is going on the venue! i have no idea what he will say when he discovers that if he wants them all there we might not even have money for his suits!! never mind anything else!!!
i have just about had enough now!! and am just questioning everything!!! in some respects he seems to want to get married he will go with me to a wedding fayre and will book a date but then will stall on everything else!!!
and to top it off i have a horrid cold which is getting me down and this whole thing is just making me more depressed!!! i just dont know what to do anymore!!!

Aw Hun!
A lot of grooms are a bit out of touch with the reality of wedding planning. I would point out how much it will cost for the wedding breakfast etc per guest then say that he can have a bigger guest list but he will have to find a way of putting more money in!

Don't apologise at all! You have to get it off your chest or it will drive you mad! I totally understand where you're coming from with your H2B. Mine is similar, doesn't do anything or take any interest until right at the last minute when i've sorted it all and then he questions everything! Take a deep breathe and just explain the maths to him. Just say this is what we can afford so i'm affraid you'll have to cut your guests down. If you put the facts to him he can't argue with them and if he does tell him if we can work out a better way then he needs to explain that to you - when he can't he'll end up agreeing that you were right. The problem with men is that they suddenly take an interest without doing all the research and work we've done so they don't understand how weddings work! Then they get all huffy because they think they should be right! Sit them down with the bare facts and bore them with ot for 30 mins. That shuts them up! Don't let it get to you though, it's never worth getting upset or arguing about. xxx
