Do you leave your engagement ring off or leave it on for the ceromony?
I have peep toe shoes and been looking for open toe hold ups as tights will be a pain when needing the loo etc but cant find any! would it be ok to go bare legged ( I have a long dress anyway so wouldnt see them) ?
Thanks all

I think traditionally you take your engagement ring off for the wedding. Either give it to a bm or sister or just wear it on the other hand.
I saw some peep toe hold ups in m and s a few weeks ago if you want to have a look there? If you're going bare legged, make sure you wear your shoes in so they don't rub :)

Liz is wearing hers on the other hand, and putting it back after the ceremony. She wont want a bridesmaid responsible for losing it. The only person that will potentially do that his Liz, that way shes got noone to shout at if it does go missing;-)

i went bare legged for the reason that no-one can see underneath. I put my e ring on the other hand during the ceremony and then put it on afterwards, in fact i put it on while we were signing the register

Congratulations! I think it would be best to wear your e ring on your right hand. That way you have it to put on when you want to (esp if you want a up close photo of your rings). I don't see a problem with going without tights/hold ups. Joanna made a good point about wearing your shoes in, I don't think you'd want a blister on your big day.

I didnt wear my engagement ring. I left it at home so it wasnt misplaced anywhere. I also went bare legged because I couldnt be bothered faffing with a dress, and hold ups and whatnot
I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a

I plannned to wear my engagement ring on the other hand but forgot and so still had it on my left hand at the altar lol i had to slip it off and transfer it to the other hand during the first hymn. You can get sheer toe hold ups from Debs. x

I am wearing my engagement ring on my right hand during the ceremony. Was planning to wear tights if it is cold but not thought about getting them down for toilet stops. Maybe I will be bare-legged too! Fingers crossed for nice weather Friday. x

Sorry to hijack the thread. I'm really tempted to wear socks with my shoes to keep it a little more comfortable. Do you think that would be ok?
