    Hi all ive just got back.into feeling like the whole wedding planning thing been bit down but htb has dragged me back up and now im.feeling more like.myself im loving looking into wedding stuff. Today i looked at cars which i thought i wasnt bothered about but actually i really want a nice way to get me too the wedding which is all in one venue.
    So first question how far in advance have you booked? Im looking at old jags and rolls. For one car to take bms and then come back for me it looks like its going to cost about £350ish but while i was looking i.came across a beautiful white carriage pulled by two white horses and im in love with it. Just wondering if anyone else has booked a carriage and how the price differs from cars? Do companys mind giving quotes out so far in advance?
    Any help much appreciated thanks xx

    we booked ours last week.- a RR silver cloud (pic on wall) Price wise you're about there-we paid £310 for ours but it's dependant on how far away you are to be honest.
    As for carriages, we steered way form that. two reasons;
    1/ what happens when it rains?
    2/ too far away. There was only one in our town and there is no more, as one of her horses croaked it! lol:/

    We booked our car last month and we're not getting married til next july. all the companies i contacted didn't have a problem giving us quotes. not too sure about horse and carriage but i think they have rules about how far they can travel. sure i've seen threads about horses before on here too if you do a search. xx

    Exactly.

    You really need to be fairly localised to use a horse and carriage. cars don't have feelings-horses do;-)

    Im only looking at companies not to.far away from our town. They estimate 4-5 hours i think its going to.be needed a max of 3 including there travel times. The carriage ive seen has a canopy for rain and still looks beautiful im so tempted but if the price is to much more then a car ill be happy with the jag m2 or the rr shadow which i also really love.
    Clive did u book at a fair or something? im booking for next october but i.like things done as i have a nasty habbit of forgeting to do things lol x

    No, we booked ours at their premises not far from us. They moved down here from Hertfordshire and are trying to make a name for themselves here. Ours also allow 4 hours for a wedding including an hour for the ceremony and an hour for photos. so, if you book a car, you will get there quicker, and, providing your ceremony is a quick one, more time for photos.....
