Firstly my H2B is in the army; yesterday his boss informed him that he has some compulsory training in June! The same time as our honeymoon!!!!!! This has been booked and paid for, for 6months!! His boss has known about it for 6 months as well! :( So his boss is now saying H2B cant go on honeymoon as this order has come from above!!! I cried all yesterday afternoon when i found out!! H2B said his boss will spk to above today or tomoro to see what can be done!! There's no way we want to lose over £4000 because we cant go!!
Have any of you had this problem with the forces? Or does anyone know what we can do? I told H2B im going to tweet david cameron if they say no lol!!
xx

Any chance of you contacting the travel agents and asking if they can move the date?

Is it something that could be covered under your travel insurance?

Tweeting David Cameron won't do anything Hun , unfortunately this happens time and time again ..... When you are in the forces that comes before anything else.
I presume he had put in his request for leave and this had been granted ..
I havent made any contact with the travel agents yet as am waiting to here for sure but hadnt thought of the travel insurance helping....will look into that if needed!!
Lol i know tweeting wouldnt help i just feel so frustrated :( But yeah he had put his request in and it was granted!! Just hate not knowing for definate!! Hopefully today or tomoro we'll know more!! Will be so so gutted if its not approved!!
We booked our honeymoon for the day after the wedding to ensure H2B would take the leave all at once, so were kind of helping the army out in a way!! :/
Lol there is no helping the army or any of the services out lol ... All of them are a law unto them selves ( I was a navel wife for 17 yrs so have had LOTS of experience !!!!!!! )
If you got military wedding insurance it should be covered by that. I'm sure his boss hasn't done it on purpose, is just the way it is. But I understand its frustrating. X

i dont think it will be covered by general travel insurance
