Hi all, I'm having a pretty rubbish week, work is crazy and now wedding plans are on hold as OH mum sadly has cancer and is starting chemo :( we have been told cancer is contained so hopefully chemo will work but until we know for sure we are putting wedding on hold.

I had just started to get excited about our new venue after we realised that our dream of New Zealand was a no go due to his mum not being able to travel all that way without going first class and costing a fortune ( she has a bag so a long haul flight woukd be difficult to change this!)

Anyway, his mum having cancer has brought back all the horrible memories from my mum passing away 2 years ago and this broke my heart in every way so I'm just struggling to take everything in.

I'm also working in London for the rest of the week which I'm not looking forwards too- really just want this week to be over so I can pick myself up and get my positivity back xxxx

Sorry to hear Michelle, sending best wishes to you all and wishing your MIL a successful recovery. I think you're doing the right thing to put wedding plans on hold for now, you've got too much stress going on without needing the stress of planning a wedding too. Take some time out and have lots of family time. Hopefully you can just pick up where you left off in due course xx
