Back in Feb, I had a really bad case of Bronchitis which nearly turned into pnuemonia. In the last two days I've been feeling a bit fluey, and this morning I've oken up very phlegmmy and with a bad chest. With only 10 days left I'm panicking that I'm going to be really ill on my wedding day! But my doctors are really rubbish so not sure what to do?!
Any advice?! And if I do get that bad again, what do I do? Cancel the day?

I was ill before (and during) our wedding. I felt rough on the Sunday and we flew out to Vegas on the Monday. By the time we landed, I was coughing and spluttering and feeling as though someone had been stamping on my head and the rest of me for the past 11 hours, not sat on a plane! So I dosed up on American drugs (they're so much better than things we get in the UK!), dank plenty of fluids, ate well, with plenty of fresh frruit and veg. It didn't do anything - I even kept hubby awake with all th ecoughing and wheezing. I was still ill on the Thursday (wedding day) but nothing was going to ruin my day. I drank champagne from 8am and ate muffins and croissants. But the time I got to the chapel (apart from the odd cough) I'd forgotten how rough I felt - either nerves or excitement, I can't decide which. Dr Spotlight will get you through. x

I'd be tempted to go to the Dr and explain your situation and what happened before, ask them if you can have antibiotics to take if you start getting symptoms like before. You do need to rest, drink plenty, take some paracetamol and look after yourself Unless they give you metronidazole you can still drink on antibiotics
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Aww hun don't cancel your day!!
Stay warm, rest, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol. When I feel like this I usually take Berocca and after a day or 2, I feel fab again! If you do suffer with chest problems it might be worth talking to your GP and getting some antibiotics x

Excellent advice from these ladies
Also, as hard as it is, try not to worry so much about being ill. The more you fret, the more you'll open yourself up to making your health worse. From a holistic perspective, try meditating whenever you feel anxious- close your eyes and visualise healing white light flowing through you and taking your anxiety away. In addition to taking appropriate medicine and keeping yourself hydrated, of course.
