well ladys with only 67 days to the big day, i went round to see my grandfather to get his meal details, whilst there he asked me to try on the most beautiful sapphire and diamond ring, i tried it on and he told me this was my late nans engagement ring and that he would like me to have it, i was extremely choked (hes been a very unwell man and im extremely close to him) and i felt honoured that he had given it to me also this will now become my something old and something blue just wanted to share with all u ladies xx
aww thats so lovely, a real heart felt gesture. you must mean an awful lot to him (more than grandfather and granddaughter) for him to give you something so precious.
that really does bring a tear to your eye.

That is beautiful! My something old is a broach from Michael's Grandmother who recently passed away. As she cannot be with us in person I want a little piece of her to make it down the aisle with us xxx

Awww that is sooo lovely! I still need to sort my something old and something borrowed, but I am thinking of borrowing one of my Mum's rings. She has a big collection because when my Dad would travel on business (which he did a lot - worked in the airlines), he would buy her a ring from every country he visited, and I've always loved her collection.
