Hi, I have searched this site for a thread about the etiquette re: feeding our band and DJ but couldn't find any previous mention. So, thought I would start one lol!!

I have read people's opinions on other threads about feeding the photographers (which is something else I hadn't considered!)

We have a 2 person rock duo at our wedding, their road crew and DJ. They will be arriving around 2pm to set up/do sound checks etc and Finishing after midnight. What have/are other people done/doing about ensuring their entertainers won't pass out with hunger before the day is over?? They haven't mentioned anything in their contracts about requiring food and drinks but I don't want them to go hungry lol.

Oh gosh! something I never thought about?! I would have thought they would sort there own as we would be paying em, but put as above I don't know, so interested in the replys!

i think if my dj or photographer wanted someting to eat id let em as they will be working most of day on empty stomach i might speak to em wen i meet up with em next x

I'm feeding our videographer as he is doing it for free (building up a portfolio) so only fair! The dj etc can help themselves to the buffet once the guests have been up!!! (don't I sound harsh)

The photographers in my opinion should bring a butty with them. If I go to work all day I make sure I have lunch with me! x

Our photographer is doing our photos for free and I am friends with him and his wife so they are having the food. I havent thought about the DJ but the hotel are employing him so they should feed him lol

My photographer is coming to the reception and a sit down meal as he's the brother of my h2bs bestwoman(does that make sense lol) So he's doing our photos for free. The band and djs are also family and friends so will be able to eat the buffet later.

we have a four man band, and a string quartet. Both are requesting that they have unlimited access to soft drinks and a light meal in their contracts. If they dont mention it in their contracts then its tough on them x

My h2b has just spoken to the band and offered to give them some money towards their meals - they were very surprised and grateful as usually people don't offer :-) They guys are really lovely so we are happy to do this.

we are having a BBq in the evening and have have said to our DJ that he is more than welcome to eat...... he said that most people dont offer him food in the evening so was very touched that we had mentioned it

the person doing our music is a family member and would be invited wether he was doing the music or not. so we will be feeding him lol.

in our contract with the photographer it says we have to provide a hot meal xx

As we are having a hog roast, we are thinking of asking our photographer if he wants some of the food too as there will be plenty to go round.
