Thinking about just scrapping the whole thing. Only two people have paid despite texts, phone calls and fb messages on my hen night page. Nothing can be booked until people pay!!! I keep telling them this!! Now the venues with private rooms are booked up. I'm so bloody angry. £40 each for a recording studio, dinner, a load of drink and a naked butler is a bloody bargain and I spent so long getting the best prices possible. I don't even want to go anywhere now. I never go out so my hen was really special for me.

Yet another bloody disappointment for this wedding. Noone seems to care about a single aspect

Sorry, I'm just annoyed and upset. My MOH was supposed to be planning it but she's busy with her other friends who are getting married and she works a lot. My other bm isn't even coming!! She's going ti Mexico!! :(

I'm not surprised your upset has anyone said why they are taking so long to pay?
I just got the deposits for mine (like you ended up organising it myself and a bm isnt coming for some reason I don't know) but I just said I'm booking on Friday so I need the money for Thursday and I got quite a few and booked it, some are phoning up to book themselves as they missed my deadline - if you put pay by this day or your not coming do u think they would pay then?
£40 is an excellent price x

I've tried that but everyone would promise they'd pay on such and such a date. I honestly don't know if I can be bothered with it anymore. The recording studio experience is already paid for by my MOH but I'm thinking of just giving her the money back so she's out of pocket and cancelling. I've got too much to worry about with the actually wedding to be stressing about this as well. I'm upset though. It would've been a great night :(

Have u made a facebook group for it?You could make one up and invite everyone you've invited to the group and put up a message that you are on the verge of cancelling as hardly anyone has paid! Also, put that you are really upset about it - hopefully then they will realise how they are upsetting you and sort it out.
If that doesnt work you and the people that have paid still do the recording studio and a meal with night out yourselves x

yup, i made a facebook group in may so we could all talk about it.

i've just told them all it's cancelled and they can come out for a drink if they want. they've posted saying 'aw that's a shame'. well, i've been asking for money since MAY!!!!!! what did they all expect?!?!?!?!

my aunt text me saying 'it's a good thing you told me as i was transferring you the money today' eh, somehow i don't believe you. i'm just hurt. i never ask for anything from my friends. the one time i ask for anything and they can't be bothered . well, i'll remember that when they invite me to a party or birthday night.

my moh has text me saying we could have a few people round her flat to play games, eat, drink and have the naked butler, then meet people in town after it. i don't even want to meet them in the town. they can't be bothered with anything, so i don't see why they should be able to share a night out with me. maybe just ask 3/4 people round to moh house

Everyone said they were going to go, And the place where im going asked for a deposit for 9 guests so me being me payed it!! Its only £34! Im not thinking about saying its cancelled! I know how your feeling!
Ive found you always find out who your friends are when planning a wedding or hen party! & its always that bit to late! x

Why do people have to be such let downs, never mind, sod them all and go out and treat yourself to something with the money you would of spent on the hen do. If its any consolation I'm not having one either cos people just mess you about whether there coming or not and ultimately let you down, so I'm not setting my self up for that, chin up your better off without hairy, fairy to$$ers giving you stress xx

This type of night out is always such a pain. It might be nice just to do something with the ones that did bother to pay in time, at least they were thoughtful enough to do so. Don't like them get to you too much, some people just aren't capable of considering other peoples feelings.

it's bloody horrible. my h2b has got like 15 guys going down to liverpool and they've all paid about 200 all in!! out of everyone, only two of my 'friends' have paid 40 each. as if that wasn't bad enough, i asked them in MAY for a tenner each deposit. £10!!!!!! and not one person paid it. if everyone who said they were going had paid 10 each, everything would've been booked by now :(

a few people are now going round to my moh's now and then we'll meet other people after it. to be honest, i really don't know if i want to meet anyone after it. one of my friends has been a REALLY close friend for 18 years. she regularly pays a few hundred quid to go away for hen weekends/birthdays etc, but she couldn't even pay 40 for her 'supposed best friend's' hen night?!

seriously need to look at who is important and who isn't. obviously i'm not as important to these people as they are to me.

Don't let it get you down, you and your moh could still do the recording together and have a girly day before going out?
I think every hen night has similar problems

Me being me I would of put on the group it's cancelled because the people I thought cared about me didn't pay the deposit to spend a special night with me which I was really looking forward too. I now know who I'm important to and thankyou to XX and XX for paying in time

It's your friend/relative's special day, make an effort and don't let them down! Makes me so angry. Kinda worried same thing will happen to me now, I'll leave it to my sister and best mate to sort out though.

well i've really spat my dummy now. i've cancelled the whole thing. i'm not interested in begging ANYONE to come to my hen night. i text one of my so called friends to tell her it was cancelled due to lack of interest. she replied saying she was coming but wanted to waituntil she know what was happening before she sent money. WTF?!?!?!?!? i had been texting, messaging on my hen night fb page and even face to face asking her for months. i told her if noone paid money, nothing could be booked, so i'm so angry she has used THAT as an excuse!!

my moh double booked herself and was supposed to be going to one of her friend's leaving nights (moving to oz) so said that we could go to that party after my hen night. i just thought to myself, when is the hen night supposed to end?? has it to be cut short because she agreed to go to a party over a month after we decided on the hen night date?!?!

but, it's cancelled now. i'm far happier knowing that it's absolutely not going to happen now, rather than spending 6 weeks worrying about IF it will happen. i'm bitterly disappointed and i don't think i will ever forget this. house parties, birthday parties, christenings, house warmings, weddings, engagement parties, we've been to them all and we've never held a party to invite them to before and only two friends (not even remotely close friends) have bothered their backside

decided to go out for dinner with my h2b that night instead. we've not been out for dinner together since 2009 so i'd prefer spending quality time with him :) screw the lot of them (apart from the two who bothered!! :D )

There are certain people who I will NOT text first anymore because I'm sick of being ignored until the next 'drama' in their life. No, I don't care if you are worried about looking fat in the swimming suit on the holiday you are going on instead of my wedding and hen night and want diet tips!! I can totally get where you are coming from chick. I have planned my own hen night from the word 'go'. Ive sussed the best prices on limo's got great deals on the alcohol packages, guest list for the niightclub plus goodies etc in there, and even said i will provide nibbles and cocktails for everyone before the limo arrives!.........all in for £40
Flippin awesome i thought, i had a lot of initial interest with ppl saying yes count me in etc..then as soon as i ask for the money...its been one reason or another..ppl are annoying lol.

i have given deadlines to a few people and said if you havent paid by such n such date, then i will offer your seat to someone else, Ive even had 2 people say (after they have paid) that they can no longer come, ffs! i did say well im sorry but yourve lost your money otherwise i would have to fork out an additional £80! one week before the date!

Loads of people initially dropped out of my hen do, but the ones that have stayed, paid and are lookng forward to it, are the ones i will remember.
In your case tho chick - i recon youuve done the right thing, Spend your evening with your lovely H2B xxx enjoy your meal and not worry about the others, they should think twice next time about asking you for help etc, xx

Fmm I am annoyed at my MOH about that party. Not just that she suggested we went along once 'my hen night had finished', but that she agreed to go when she knew what date we had arranged for the hen night. I'm also annoyed that she basically did nothing and I ended up doing all the legwork. We had agreed that it was her 'duty' to arrange it. I'm just very bitter about it just now. I don't know how I'm going to look them all in the face. I knew I had few friends left since the kids were born, but I didn't think it was as bad as this :(

The people coming over with us are: my aunt, her friend, my sister, her partner, sil2b and her two kids. My MOH and her partner are supposed to be coming but haven't booked yet!!!

My sil2b won't go out and leave the kids with h2b (as he'd have our 3 too), so it would be me, my sister and my aunt but they don't arrive until the tues night and we get married on the Thursday. I don't want to go out the night before coz I'll feel like crap on the day.

I've just had a thought, if my MOH doesn't come out to Cyprus, I don't know who our witnesses will be!! My sister, aunt and her friend won't be over there in time to do the paperwork!! Do you know what?? I wish we'd just facked off ourselves and not had to rely on anyone else. I bloody hate this. Can't count on anyone!!!!!

Kisywisy i think you should call your MOH now and explain that. I can't believe how incredibly inconsiderate she is being about it all. Just tell her you'd appreciate if she booked by "X" date as you're concerned about availabilty on her part and if she doesnt make it you don't have any witnesses therefore you can't get married and after all the hen night stress you don't need that stress on top of everything else. You need it sorted NOW, unlike a hen night its not something people can back out of without causing MAJOR problems.

Sending you huge hugs and love xxxxxxxxx

    WELL...

i told everyone it was cancelled. my sister then went and booked me, her, my aunt and my moh into a day spa, make over, booked dinner and arranged VIP passes to a club!!!

h2b told me yesterday that two of my friends had been texting/fbing him trying to get his help with arranging a surprise hen night for me. h2b told them straight that i was busy, i was upset with everyone for showing no commitment and being let down. yay h2b fighting my corner :)

one of these friends text me tonight saying that she was trying to secretly arrange a hen night for me, but she needed my help. i was to tell her who i wanted her to invite to 'surprise me' at the dinner venue. i wasn't to tell anyone that i knew what was going on.

i'm pleased that they've realised how crap they've been, but they've had such a long time to care and never bothered.

still, i'm not going to be ungrateful. hopefully i'll actually have a nice night now. i'm sooo looking forward to being pampered and cocktails :D

I do feel sorry for you.... its rubbish when your friends dont make an effort.
Im just going to have a quiet hen do i think with food games and drink and supply the lot. I dont want anyone to spend money on me. I know from past experience how expensive hen do's can be and how much i struggle myself to find the money. This year alone i have been invited to and gone on 6 hen do's and we are only in July, these have each cost £150 plus. Ive had to start saying no because i just can't afford it. However im also going to make sure i say no from the start so i dont let people down.

Im sorry your having alot of problems and i think £40 does sound like a really good price.

It is upsetting especially when its your hen do.
This is happened to me few times organising things and it is soooo annoying.Things do happen and get in the way but I have always paid the minimum if something that has happened to me. So people can go ahead and book tickets on the rate they were quoted for.

£40 is really good, I do hope you get it sorted or as someone else suggested just the 2 of you go.

aww my 'so called friends' & family were like that on my 2 hen nights, the first one was crap, i was just recovering from a kidney infection & rushed round on the day to sort stuff out - it got thrown back in my face! ie - it took me all day to do the food cos i was in & out at the docs etc, then one of them says "er it dosent take all day do food i do buffets you know!!!!!!!
i was fecking fuming, i couldnt even drink cos i was still on antibiotics!
My 2nd hen do 19 of us went to blackpool over night (great right?) NO!!
i was so ill i missed the whole thing & ended up in hospital, did anyone care? no!
My advice - feck them off, i have & feel soooo much better for it, they cant bother with me - i cant bother with them, end of, Even months later it still makes my blood boil
Anyway so sorry for my mini rant, hope you enjoy whatever it is you do xx
