Hey everyone, having a little rant, hope you all dont mind! We are planning to get married in cyprus in may 2013 (hopefully if nothing goes wrong to put the date back once again) but im getting so fed up waiting to book everything, because the holidays for may 2013 wont be onsale till jan-may next year i cant book anything i need to make sure i can get a holiday were we want to get married as iv got 3 children its really hard trying to get a hotel thats fits us all in, caters for kids but is still romantic for the wedding side of things, i keep looking online at dresses, photographers in cyprus ect and i am getting lots of info about getting married in cyprus but i now just want to book it, i want a wedding date :-( weve been engaged 11 years now and we were at our friends wedding on our 11 year anniversary last week and it really put the both of us on a downer that were still waiting to get married! so much so that we went to the travel agent to bring our wedding forward to 2012 got a really good price for the hotel we want but when we came home and calculated there would be no way we could save up for everything between now & may :-( xxx

my H2B is starting work soon so hoping we can arrange a date once we know what hell be paid etc!!
god i hate the waiting game as well, i feel as if iv been engaged forever, and its only been a year n a half, but this year has flew in, are you having a reception for friend n family wen you get home maybe you could start looking at venues for that to take you mind of it.xx

Waiting is the worst bit and money is just a pain in the bum, unfortunately I haven't found any money tree seeds yet tho! We got engaged on my birthday in 2010 and I really wanted to get marreid this year but there was just no way we could save up in time so we set the date for June 2012, it seemed sooooooooooooo far away, but time has flown by and now I'm almost on 9 months to go and I'm panicing I don't have enough time to plan everything! lol Don't wish all the time away, I promise it will go really fast!

thanks everyone, weve not decided whether we will have a reception or not, iv been having a look at places central for both families and all our friends so hopefully i can find somewhere and get something booked! Its good to know its not just me thats having to wait, i just hate how much weddings cost, its a nightmare we had been going to get married in a registry office in october 2012 then have a meal and drinks for just the family & close friends then go on holiday to turkey as they were a bit cheaper so we could bring the date forward but then when i contacted everywhere i then realised it would actually cost us the same to go & do it in cyprus like we had planned all along! Zoe you are so right, the time will fly from now until booking the wedding and i will probably start looking for the dress about 9 months to a year in advance, although i have already found a dress iv fallen in love with ;-) Where are you getting married? oh try not to panic im sure you will get everything done by you big day xx
