So i want a way of saying thankyou for coming to our wedding day and i LOOOOOVE DIY. Any suggestions on things i can do as little favors/thankyous for coming, having the reception at rays nanas house so was thinking should i hand them out or just let people take them or what is the "done" thing? Dont have hardly any money with saving for a baby, last tiny things for wedding like cake ingredients and everything and saving tub for furniture if we get offered a place soon, so preferably wont cost anything or much to make, have tons of coloured paper and flowers and stickys as very arty farty here so just some suggestions on what i could do cos my minds drawing blanks, and if they should be personalised????? :S
x x x x thanks me pretties :D

How many guests do you have? You could make little boxes with the coloured papers and fill them with fudge? We're planning to do fudge for one of our favours. We usually make it for Christmas and enough for two present boxes and a huge biscuit tin filled to the brim (probably 50-60 favours at least) cost less than a tenner to make.

Edible favours generally go down well... fudge sounds lovely! Or you can do bride/groom cookies or just normal cookies with your names and date iced on?

cookies are lovely, especially if you can ice on your names and date of the wedding, you can present them really well in little organza bags from the bay, and make a paper flower/bow to secure the bags x
his and her's cookies with a poem card inside organza bags might be a nice touch
and now the next chapter

Edibles are great - cookies, sweeties, lollipops, chocolates all seem to go down well. I'm thinking of JellyBelly beans in tissuepaper wrapping xx

I like the idea of edible favours, ones you make yourself. I did see in a magazine pics of little iced biscuits in the shape of shoes and dresses, I might have a go one weekend and see how easy they are to do.
Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)

We're doing cookies, there are loads of wedding cake/wedding dress/bride and groom/heart etc cookie cutters on ebay. I did a practice the other day for someone who was leaving work to get married (moving away!) and they went down really well! The cookies were really cheap to make, just took a few hours. The cutter I got also came with an embossing mat for icing - you roll out the icing (I bought ready to roll as it was just easier), put the little mat on top and then roll over it again and it leaves a lovely pattern on the icing! Then just cut it out with the cookie cutter again and stick it on to the cookie with butter cream or royal icing.
Very happy to say I'm now Mrs Keates and loving it!
