Ok, so i am taking my dad and brother shopping on sunday to get their suits and am wondering if my dad wears something different from all the other men?
This is my bridal party or whatever you call it:
Groom Best man/ Father of the Groom (my h2bs dad is his bm) h2bs 2 sons as ushers My brother - Usher My dad
So, my dad and brother are hopefully going to get the same suit, if not, the same shade of grey (although we know there are fifty odd shades eh?)
Will everyone apart from my dad wear the same cravat?

Our ushers will have cravats to match the bridesmaids, and the best men waistcoats in the same colour. H2B will have a waistcoat to match the champagne in my dress. We haven't planned on anything special for the dads other than button holes.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
2 boy ushers have same suit while h2b and best man have different. My dad and brother will also have different although the same shade of grey, does this still sound ok? Its a small wedding, 25 day guests. xx

Anywhere that does ties will probably do cravats. The place that is doing my SIL2B's bridesmaid dress does cravats and wraps to match so that's what we're doing.

ours will all be in the same suits. H2B will be standing out for ceremony in his army uniform but he will change at reception into the same as others. as for cravats? we are hiring our suits so we got them included x

Definitely have seen it where the fathers wear the same suits as the bridal party and where they have worn there own. Definitely recommend getting the cravats from the hire company. I have also heard of local companies creating cravats from fabric provided by the bride.

Your Dad should wear the same as the other grooms men. Only the groom might have something slightly different to make him stand out.

My H2B is buying his suit and will be a few shades lighter than all the rest... It's gonna look gorgeous xx

all the bridal party men including my dad are wearing the same, H2B is in the same but he also has a waistcoat and better socks (lol .. not like toe socks or over the knee socks, they're wearing kilts so H2Bs are slightly different. H2Bs dad is wearing a kilt but in his own colours.

My h2b will be wearing his own kilt (his family tartan)
Best man, ushers, our son and my dad will all be wearing the same tartan. Its different from groom as his tartan can't be hired.
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13
Our son is 5 years old and our world

My OH, his best man, and his dad (and my dad would have been had situation been different) are wearing the same suit, but they are wearing tails whilst the ushers are all wearing morning suits (I think thats right). But all in a very matching colour/shade. And then my OH is having a different colour tie so he also stands out a little bit more. But my mum (who is taking my dads place) is wearing a dress that matches ties on all the groomsmens suits, and my OH is wearing a tie that matches all the bridesmaids. So everyone is all matching in someone or another. And then the buttonholes all match the bridesmaid dresses too. Luckily I didn't think of all this matching detail and who needs to stand out from what my OH and his dad did! But I think you can put a little detail to out emphasis on whoever you feel should. Its your wedding so I can't see why a little (or big) detail to make someone you love stand out should be a problem
