My dad passed away a year ago in september so ive asked my best friend to walk me down the isle but what elce dose he have to do?? hes very shy and it took a bit of talkin to to get him to do it now he is really excited about doing it dose he have to give a speech or anythin? or is there anyone elce i can get to do somethin instead? xx

it will be 2 years in march since i lost my dad. my brother is walking me down the aisle. he doing all the usual fob duties. walking down aisle, fob speech and fob dance. if ur mate dont wanna do the speech then how about asking ya mum to 2 it. and for the dance, i hope ur mate would wanna help ya there xx

she passed when i was 13 only got my twin who is my MOH and wont do it the best man is doing a speech i think i know my best friend wont he went to college with me last year and took panic attacks when he had to do presentations and i dont want to put him throu that xx

You don't have to try doing speeches traditionally. You could do one, your h2b and best man. You don't need loads. Or do you have a grandparent or other relative who could do a short one?
Do you have any family ir a family friend who could do a speech if not how about a small speech yourself?
Also at one wedding I went to the person performing the fob duties wrote a speech & the best man read it out xxx

I went to a wedding where the dad wasn't around so her brother walked her down the aisle and when it came to speeches her other brother did the speeches. Is there someone else who could do a speech for you? You can do one yourself?

i might do one myself but i get really emotional and i think i might not b able to n the H2B is far to shy to do it ether that or hell get up n embarrass us both :L
only my gran is about but there was a massive family fall out when my mum died as my mums side blamed my dad when it was nothing to do with him as my parents had split so when my dad took ill with cancer i turned more to him as he had noone elce and when he died i met the rest of his side of the family i didnt know excisted (i only thought that it was him and his brother untill the funeral) but since the funeral ive only kept in contact with one of his cousins and her daughter but i dont know them that well to ask them to speak at the wedding
i know the best man is doing a speech (H2B has not picked one yet but i think it will pob b his brother) so im thinking of having a friend of mine speck im just having trouble finding someone im gettin to worked up about these little things but im glad im doing it now with plenty of time to sort out b4 the actual wedding xx
