I'm not sure if I'll have a father-daughter dance, but if I do it'll be "Get Here" by Oleta Adams. I remember him singing it at a music night when I was a kid. He always used to come and pick me up when life was kicking me and look after me. I remember him driving me around all day one day because I was feeling suicidal after a horrendous breakup with my high school boyfriend.
My dad may drive me nuts, but he does love me.

Well what i forgot to say was its actually going to be a stepfather-stepdaughter dance... my dad isnt coming to the wedding as my stepfather is giving me away at the church and my dad hasnt bothered with me for 14 years and when i told him he isnt giving me away he wasnt happy and doesnt want to come.. so i need a good song that me and my stepdad can dance to. xx

We're not having one - tbh don't think my dad would do it as he has 'two left feet' lol. And the wedding is only small so not something we're doing.
My father is not coming, so sorry can't really help on that.

I'm having 'you are my sunshine' because my dad used to always sing it to me. It made me cry when I heard the song randomly on tv, that's when I decided :) x

There was a post on here the other day about this. I hadn't picked a song until I read the post and listenned to some fo the songs the other girls mentioned. Went on youtube and listenned, love 'I loved her first' and think i'll probs have that one it's such a perfect song - although it did make me cry when I first listenned to it lol. I did also type in father daughter dances and quite a few nice songs popped up :) x

We arent having one either, my dad passed away years ago and my step dad is only recently out of hospital after being very ill so he wont be taking to the dance floor, and my other alternative, H2Bs dad had a pacemaker fitted today after being in the coronary care unit for a week so he wont be dancing either. At this rate it will be wheelchair dancing!
