theres a song on the film baby geniuses that would be perfect it goes
on the day that you were born, help so tightly in your mothers arms,an angel told me youl always be ,a gift from above for me to love
or something like that,,,its the song at the end of the film, brings tears to my eyes

see thats where im struggling he is my step dad and wasnt there when i was born. He got with my mum when i was 5 but he has always been more of a dad to me than my real dad. My real dad moved to the isle of wight when i was about 7 and ive prob oly seen him about 14 times since thats in 21 years. He will be at the wedding to which makes it awkward but i think he will understand as my step dad has always been the one that has been there for me no matter what.

i asked my dad (who lives for northern soul) to come up with his own song and surprise me on the day. think its really special that way - i'm getting good at this delegating malarky! maybe get him to choose a song himself, that way its special to him and he will feel like he has a really big part to play in your wedding, if he doesnt have a 'planning' one already - blokes like to feel like they are being useful and that way you get a lovely surprise on your big day :)

ohh good idea Newmrshartley, u know it never even occoured to ask him lol i was too busy organising everything myself lol
