    Hey girls,

so just to put it in a nutshell: my family lives abroad and they hate the fact I live in the UK. Pretty much all of my family disagrees with us getting married and pulls faces. Okay, i have to invite my mum and stepdad (grrr) and my grandparents (at least they are lovely and happy about us) BUT my other granma and my godparents are a different story. Okay, i figured granma I will have to invite but really cant be arsed with godparents. Last time they came to visit, we cooked for them, they just pulled faces and were kinda ignoring us. So i thought screw them i aint gonna send them an invite. Now my mum has decided to play middle man and asked me 2 invite them saying they cant come anyway. But what if they can? I wud have to uninvite them cause I really dont want them to be there. Isnt it ruder to invite and then uninvite some1 or just not invite them in the first place? I mean when i was a kid i got lots of expensive pressies of them and all but since im a grown-up and together with my fiance they behaved like arses... What to do?

    Thank you guys x x x

where do they all live hun?
i can sort of understand what your mum is saying but also as you say what if they can come ........why not invite them to the evening only , they are less likey to make the journey for that and you can always blame a number restriction on your venue

if you dont want to invite them dont invite them its your big day, im not inviting alot of my family even thou most of the family want me too, but i cant be doing with them, not seen most of them in years and i hate them to be truthful, i think it would be harder and meaner to invite and then uninvite them, i hope you find an answer for this

If you don't want to invite them then don't do it. it would be way worse to uninvite them. if you do invite them and they say they are coming you would have to put up with them.
