    Hello Fellow Brides

Ok so im supposed to be getting married September next year.. however recent fall outs in my family (between 2 siblings and my partner) have had me in turmoil... 1 sister refuses to come to my wedding, My groom does not want my other sibling there (for a good reason i may add).

Was speaking to my mum today about cancelling the wedding and going with her and my dad (and my grandparents) His parents our girls and having a quick registrar office so there isn't any more hassle (I'm also epileptic and stress can cause me to become very ill) When my mum suggested going abroad to do it?? Its really got my brain going about a wedding abroad now....

Has anyone else got married abroad? Is it really expensive? If found a package Deal for a evening Beach wedding in Malta which includes everything from flowers-cake to meal and party for 20 guests.. for just under £2500 (its doesn't say if accommodation or flights included but i'm assuming their not)I'm debating postponing the wedding till 2015 and doing this what are everyones views

    very very confused bride today!

    The day dresms come true....

Firstly, big big hugs about your family. I am kind of in the same boat. If my dads family come, my mum wont so I know how you feel :(
Secondly, Weddings abroad don't usually include flights and accommodation, but you don't necessarily have to stay where you are getting married, there is usually a fee if you don't though but even with that said it can be cheaper to stay somewhere else! (I looked into it too because of the whole family issues lol) It can be as expensive s you want it to be depending on where you go. Some places are really reasonable, seeing as you get a honeymoon at the same time ;) Thee is loads of advice on here, and when you decide on where you want to go, look on the web, there is a stack of info there. Some places you cant marry unless you are a resident, I believe France is one, so look into that too! Hope I have helped a little bit :)

Thirdly, if it is because of one person you wouldn't get married here don't let it stop you, if this country is where you would much prefer to be wed! Regardless of if you get married here or abroad, if that person isn't invited then they wont be there anyway.... if that makes sense??? lol

Big hugs to you, the stress isn't needed, especially when you have a medical condition too. Go with your heart huni and keep us updated xx

Just wanted to add that you can get married in most US states very cheaply. Everyone always thinks of Vegas, but there are lots of options. The New York Marriage bureau and San Fransisco City Hall come to mind. Also there are no rules as to where & when you can get married in the majority if not all states. You could have a friend ordained online and they could preform the ceremony!

Anyways, just some ideas for you x
