    has anyone started a wedding group on facebook to help keep people up to date with things that are going on?

    ie invite people to the wedding itself on it
    hen stag night details ect as well

    My friend did this - she made it a private group so only the people she invited to join it could see that it existed. It was quite fun, she put little updates about how planning was going and then details about reception etc

    my mum has set up an event that is open to everyone, a bit worried people that i dont want to invite are going to see it and assume they will get an invite.

    we just set one up and it is privet we are inviting the people we wont there and if people are interested in our progress they can ask to be invited and we will accept them (if we like them) but that should be fairly clear that they are not going to get invited
