I knew hubbys family were being quiet at our wedding and did mention it to him (hubby) but he said i was wrong and they were fine, they didnt bring button holes, confetti, or even a card & his mum didnt smile once.

Just been told that mil had told fil on the evening before our wedding that she was seeing someone else his friend infact and wanted a divorce..she then admitted to loads of affairs !! omg the poor man is beside himself so now iv got the pleasure of his company for a week or so! some honeymoon this will be...selfish i know but this is our time and im going to get nothing but tears and boozed up men.
    Fuming! x

I know you want some US time right now but just try to be there for him when you can.

That's rubbish, so selfish of her! Try and enjoy your time as much as you can. Maybe ask FiL for one day/evening for just you and H2B - I'm sure he'll understand - I always find just being honest and asking for what you'd like in a nice, caring, compassionate way tends to work. Good luck hun Hx

What a total selfish piece of crap! What she has done to her husband is disgraceful, but to do that the night before her son's wedding?????? She has tarnished one of the best days of your lives. I am totally flabbergasted that she chose to drop the bombshell then, why couldn't she just have kept her mouth shut for a few more days? I'm sorry I'm going off on one, but I really can't understand some people.

What a completely disgusting thing to do to your husband of 34 years, especially when your son is about to be married!? I completely agree with the others, because of her actions he had to spend your wedding day knowing that and has probably ruined the memory of that day for him now.

I am sure you and your hubby can help him through this, best of wishes and good luck to you and your new husband and your poor FIL!

What a horrible cowbag she is to do that to him. No wonder he is a broken man but I have to commend him for keeping the smiles going on the wedding day for the sake of you and your hubby. I can understand that you want some us time as that is the most natural thing in the world but I guess these things are here to test us and we just have to make the most of it. Maybe you could arrange a later honeymoon to do it over again when things have calmed down?

What your MiL has done is, IMO, unforgiveable. I can understand your wanting time alone but at the same time I'm sure your poor FiL will appreciate the support massively as this woman has just sent his whole world crashing down around his ears. I agree with what's been said here about maybe taking another honeymoon at a later date just for the two of you though.
    Thinking of you all ((hugs)).

What she did wasn't just selfish it was also cruel too- God women can be such b*tches at times!!

Never mind what she may think of you or her husband- HOW could she cause such tension before her son's wedding? Truly appalling behaviour!

That is so horrible that she did that the day before but to do all that behind her hubbys back, a man who clearly loved her, and that is how she behaves! I know it isn't ideal because of course you want your honeymoon time with your hubby but they will both be appreciative of your being there. How is your hubby taking it, must be hard for him too to see his parents break up. Hope your FIL will be ok, especially if he isn't well, bless him. Disgraceful on her part though, I hope she ends up with nobody and she realises what she has lost. xx

im sorry but talk about stealing your thunder. why couldnt the selfish woman wait until after the day and then she wouldnt have ruined it for your FIL. all i can say is at least he put your and h2bs day first before his own feelings and emotions, especially when it probably brought it all back to him. sounds like hes well rid.

    xx

she couldnt have revealed it months before, she had to do it on a day that could have ruined your wedding day and did in fact for fil and now affects honeymoon. Could she not have waited until after you got back. So selfish. Sorry x Hope he feels better about it soon and finds someone who loves him x

What a moo, i'd like to say other words to describe but didn't want to be told off for swearing. With any luck her lover will do the dirty on her and she'll know how it feels. Poor FIL he must be devastated after being together so long and the way she told him. Some people can be so cruel and what a spiteful b#### for doing it before the wedding too. Makes me want to slap her and i don't even know her. It must be hard for you 2 too trying to comfort him when it should be your honeymoon time, but maybe you can make plans to do something special when things have calmed down a bit xx

she is such a cow, surely their was a better time to drop that bomb shell on him, even it were the day after you got married. Yes you might have still ended up having him just now but at least it wouldn't have been glares throughout the wedding.
I think you will just have to try and keep quite and helpfull towards your hubby.I know this can be hard, but he is going to need your support, why not compromise, say that you will go for a long weekend with the dad, but in a few months you want to go away just you and him for your honeymoon, since you have missed out just now.
