Having read through a few health/beauty posts on here, there have been discussions about "getting ready" for the big day.

But I was wondering if anybody was having or doing anything which may be considered, extreme or not the norm, in the way of getting ready for the big day.................?

I have been thinking about getting a back brace and wearing it to lengthen my back. I am known to slouch, my family have rounded shoulders :-( also my OH is 6f6 and I am only 5f5. I have googled it (tbh thought about doing it for years) and aside from giving me a great posture and a fab pair ;-) it would also give me up to another inch in height.

if you learn to walk correctly you could save yourself a lot of money, just make sure you pull your shoulders back and hold you head up high - practice for the big day as well xx

Well they are used for medical issues with curving in the spine (scoliosis) and they prevent the curve from getting worse. But they have been known to lengthen the back and improve posture which in turn increases your height.

Thats my problem Kate :-( but we all love to slouch. Both myself and my sister were seen when young about the curve but I was told I was ok, my sister would get treatment but she chooses not to.

Oh those things... I've been told they are quite painful?

Like kate said walking properly and remembering to correct your posture might work too? Makes you feel a bit like a meerkat, all straight and head up :P but it makes you feel a lot better and it does look better especially on photos!

    No pain no gain!!!! ;-)

The other good thing about it for me personally is that I would be able to wear a bra and bag properly without the straps falling down.

I had a back brace for 6 months as I have a curved spine and just below my neck top of my back I have a bump. The brace never made any difference, it just hurt and was very uncomfortable!

Oh Melody, it didnt work? 6 months is a long time to be in pain from it.

That has just reminded me. My cousin got the slender tone butt buster and it has worked a treat!
