I pride myself on the fact i can talk to anyone, I pride myself on the fact i very rarely pay full price for anything cos i have the wonderful gift of the gab, and now many of you will be saying im blowing my own there, but im such a lighthearted person and banter and barter over everything, sometimes it works, some times it doesnt, but trust me girls when i say try it, you maybe pleased,
ok where to start, ive managed to convince the hotel we having the wedding at recpetion meal, job lot at, to charge me a fixed price of this years prices for next years wedding grand saving of over £700.
wedding suppliers however i failed at so still having to pay full price for the room to be dressed but sure it was worth a try
photographer, it really pays to shop about, ive talked myself into getting a second photographer to cover the wedding and the grooms prep for free 60 page photo album, copyright free dvd/cd of all photos taken, extra coverage to first dance, a 17x20 canvass and 2 parent books for grand total of £400
DJ wanted £400 for 12 hours, so he plays from before cermony to 1am when the night ends for £280
my wedding cake, i was previously told it wasnt possible to have it as a real cake and that it would have to be a dummy because it was too difficult to do (she likes to do her own style only) but found a cupcake stall in the sunday market and was talking to my niece about how i like cupcake wedding cakes but having a gothic wedding how i dont think it would work for us (while tasting her samples) she joined in the convo and it came to light she also does wedding cakes/birthday cakes ect... so after a longer chat over her stall she gave me her website to look at, ive spoken to previous brides she had made cakes for so arranged a meeting (with free samples again) after spending a hour together and eating cakes and the fact she had brought some gothic looking cakes she says she could do from off the internet, there was my cake!! all lovely 6 teirs of it, £900 pounds worth of cake... after a cuppa, a chat and a giggle, we shake hands on the grand old price of £500 and the echoing groan of her husband. i got it in writing too
hunt for your bargins and chance your luck, try knocking £20 off the price of something, worst they can say is no but if your already willing to pay that why not try and see if you can save a few quid, then before you know it your knocking hundreds off left right and centre.
Good luck to all of you xxx

Thanks people.. i'm on the hunt for the rings next.. now i know i can talk them down in price... but i will let you know how i get on there.
Honestly it is far easier then you think, try going to a car boot and even ask for lower prices there. if you see an item and they tell you 50p for it, just say ' would you take 20p for it ' and start building confiendance from there. We all love a good bargin in the sales... so just try for sale prices during mid season stock. like i said before if your already willing to pay the full price, why not give it a go.
thanks Jon but ive got my dj lined up.
