Hi everyone, can I get some advice/opinions please? We're having a small wedding (about 30 people) I'm thinking of having everyone back to ours for a BBQ/chill instead of a traditional disco in the evening. We don't want a disco but don't want everything to end at like 6/7 either. Ceremony is at 2pm and traditional wedding breakfast/dinner afterwards. What's peoples thoughts on this idea? What would I say in my invitations?

Hi Page,
You could put something like, the happy couple would feel blessed if you would join them in the evening at their home for fun and laughter to celebrate their happily ever after.
That way people know it is carrying on past the meal but it won't be a traditional disco. Hope this helps :)

Hi Page I think what Stacey has suggested would be perfect to put into your invites

Hi guys, thanks for your response. I wasn't sure if people would be interested as it's a lot of back and forth in one day.

Page sounds like a lovely idea. My parents had a registry office wedding with a small gathering back at their house and it was perfect for them. I am also having a small wedding (30 guests) (just at a hotel) with a sit down dinner but without the usual disco in the evening -though with being at the hotel we have hired a jukebox for our music so it can just play in the background but if someone wants to choose something specific they can.
